I was just wondering where you're all from?

I'm from Belgium, we're only tiny so haven't got much of a Fibro community.

I checked out our Belgian forum but the last post was of march or something so it didn't seem very 'active' to me and so i landed my achy self here ;)

Hello, I am from Delaware. Its the smallest state in the USA. Although it is the smallest it is jammed between two big states that have lots of hospitals, clinics, doctor offices, etc. etc. We are located on the east coast not far from wonderful Atlantic coast beaches, the chesapeake bay and their famous crabs. Also close to philadelphia and the famous philly cheesesteaks.
about the only thing I don't like about this area is the humidity. Its either raining, damp and humid or hot and humid. Or its cold and misty.....I am exaggerating but we didn't have much of a nice spring, we went right into the hot, humid weather and I hate to sweat.

I am in the northern part of the lower penninsular of Michigan. We get cold winters here. And long. But today is nice, sunny in between rain showers. We like the rain in the spring for the morel mushrooms. I want to go looking now...

Cheesecake, seems like somehow all the conversations evolve to food. I love cheesecake, now I want some. lol...

I am in the lower peninsula of Michigan too - on the west central side. We just moved here from Wisconsin 2yrs ago. I'm sitting here with a cold and body aches today. We had a nasty storm last night. The folks of Michigan are very friendly....just like on this forum. :o)

I'm in the Tampa Bay area of Florida so I have the wonderful, white beaches to go to.  Lots of wonderful things to do around here, too.

Hey Karen...I grew up in Mich, lived there until I was 49, now I live on Long Island, NY.  Probably moving back to Michigan eventually.

I am from central Arkansas, just south of Little Rock.

Spring and summer here is hot and humid--just the way I like it! I hate cold weather.

Karen you got lucky with the rain. I am close to Detroit and we got hit with some intense storms. We had one earlier today that turned my patio into a mini lake and our cable was out for hours.

So, yeah, Michigan here too. Born and raised a troll :)

I'm from the great state of Texas. Where our Summers are brutal and everything is BIG! :) I love it here but have always wanted to live in NY. I want to live where it snows. I love the cold weather and the snow. :)

I am from the land of the midnight sun Alaska. We are up to 18hrs. Of daylight. It was a beautiful day in the 60's, which is our average summer temp. We have had some cold summers before, just getting into the 50's some days. I just found out it's safe to plant my flowers. I can't wait.

I'm in Colorado. The mountains are gorgeous, but I don't spend much time in them as I get dizzy driving up the canyons, and never feel very well at that high an altitude. We do have a very comfortable climate and lots of sunshine.

I am a half  hour north of Syracuse NY...on beautiful Lake Ontario and the Oswego River....a short hop from the Canadian border.  Short, fabulous summers and long brutal winters.  The husband tells everyone we are here for the fishing.  Well...I don't fish.  Hmmmm.

I live in south-central Virginia, where I work. I spend a lot of time in north-central Maryland, where my partner and my extended family live. Same basic weather profile, fairly mild winters, and hot humid summers. Virginia is 'usually' at least 10 degrees warmer than Maryland, in the vitally important periods of spring and autumn.

You folks in Michigan and Minnesota, i do not know how you do it. I lived in NW PA for a few years working at a school up there, and I thought I would DIE. I learned i do nto do cold weather well.

So most if not all of you are from either USA or Canada :) Guess thats makes me the odd one in the line-up lol.
Belgium is very small so the weather is basicly the same wether you live south or north does not make much difference.
We have a moderate climate most of the time. Our winters our usually not too bad (alltough we have been hit with the worst one ever last year) temps do tend to drop well below freezing but it never lasts months on end. Our summers are nice and warm usually around 25 °C. I live just outside Antwerp known as the capital of diamonds, coincedently that is also where i work full time as a secretary with diamond traders.
My mother is originally from the UK and my roots trace back to Native Americans, so there is our link lol :)

I can't believe how many are from Michigan, that is cool. It seems we did this once before and there were a lot from Michigan. I wonder if the weather has a lot to do with our fibro. Constand change of weather and barometric pressure. Yesterday it was 80, today it is about 50. Cold, but the mushrooms are still coming up. Picked yesterday, did a lot of walking. Taking it easy today.

I live in New Jersey along the coast. I have Delaware below me, Pennsylvania to my west and New York up above me. Locally, I have the river down the street from me, the bay about a mile away and the ocean is 10 min away. I love this area, I NEED the water. I love the smell of the ocean, it is heaven to me. My Dh and I love to walk the boardwalks around here and smell that sea air.

I have found that about 40+ ggf back came from Belguim, so don't feel like out man out. You are part of the family, maybe literally. lol   Glad to have you join the family here at HW.  We may all live in different parts of the country or the world, we may all be in pain or forget where we are going or what we were looking for,  smilewinkgrin    but we are a lovely group of ppl, always ready to say WELCOME!
