I highly recommend asking your doctor or pharmacist about
this. Especially your doctor. He/she should have told you when to take it. I take most of my meds in the morning, but as BunBun1982 said, some are advised to take it at night. Do call your doc and find out what they want you to do.
Hugs, Karen

Hi Karen, the reason I don't know how to take it, is because I am taking samples first.
Thanks,
Marmar

I'm not a breakfast eater and I have to have something on my stomach when I take it, so I take mine at lunch. When I first started taking it, I took it at night, but it gave me such bad night sweats that I couldn't stand it. If I forget to take it around noon and wait until later in the afternoon I will still get night sweats. But I would suggest like the others have to make sure you ask your doctor/pharmacist what they suggest. Everyone is different.

Was on Cymbalta for almost 2 years I always took it at night and my doctor suggested it too because it is designed to also help you sleep. It worked for that part for me for a while. So instead of being groggy during the day, night time worked much better for me.

I've been on Cymbalta about
a month. I got samples, too. My doctor told me to take it in the morning. I felt drugged the first day, but that was the only side effect. I didn't feel that way on the second day. You need to ask your doctor when to take it.

I've been on Cymbalta for a month, taking 60mg now - and I take it at night - I researched online and found it appears to be very individual what works for you. I took my first pill at 6 pm, then started rotating different times till I settled on the "Before bed" time. I take it with a small glass of milk so my stomach isn't empty and take an Ultram at the same time, along with Zantac, then off to bed i go. At first I'd wake up in the middle of the night and be wide awake for like 2-4 hrs. Now most of the time I'm sleeping thru the night with only quick, more normal waking periods. As for night sweats, been going thru "the change" for the last few years so I'm kinda used to those. Though I have to admit, I do wake up with wet hair more often lately from sweating so much.

I've been on Cymbalta for 2 years now. I was instructed to take it at bedtime. However, I take most of my medication at bedtime anyways. I would definitely call your doctor's office and ask for clarification. Best of Luck on Cymbalta! My PM swears by it and plans to up my dose next month.
