Hey all,
I've been experiencing random muscle jerks all over my body. They mostly happen when I'm resting, or sitting watching t.v. or reading, or at the computer. When I'm up moving around I don't have them. The twitching isn't continuous in one particular muscle, but completely random and happen every few seconds when I'm trying to sleep, and every minute or so when I'm watching t.v., reading or at the computer. I can get one in my right foot, then 20 seconds or so later, my entire torso will jerk, followed by my left thigh, etc, etc. The jerks can be quite violent!
I'm just wondering if fibro can cause these types of myoclonic jerks? They've gotten much worse since I was rear-ended in a car accident 3 months ago. I have 3 herniated disks in my neck, and some severe muscle sprains. I'm awake right now at 2:30am because the twitching woke me up and kept happening every few seconds. Annoying is an understatement!
Thanks for any input!
Ginny
