Hi, bluebell, and welcome! I'm glad you found us and joined our family. We have great members here that love to help one another and, as a bonus, we really do care about each other, too. I think you will like it here.
Be sure to read Fibro 101...the first thread on the forum. There are links to good information about fibro and you will learn a lot there. I've had fibro for 24 years and I'm still learning things!
There are some good stretching exercises in Fibro 101 that you can do sitting down. You said you were in a wheelchair. Is this because of fibro? Maybe you can strengthen those legs and get walking again. That would be wonderful. I could barely walk at times but then I started walking. I only could walk four houses down and had to turn around. But, I kept at it and now walk every day for at least a mile. You do have to use muscles or you get so you can't. But, you could have other things going on, too. I'm just trying to encourage you if you possibly could walk again. I think you would like that! With fibro, if you sit or lay too long you do get stiff as a board but the walking helps me and gives me more energy, too.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you better. Don't hesitate to ask questions because we are here to help you. Hope to hear more from you soon!
