Guess this is the way
Used to forums but will need some time with this one
4th day on 4Th try on Savella sample packs.
I'm so sensitive to all drugs I've tried I've given up on meds thus the pain=depression are catching up with me and I'm not a depressed sad person and i see the glass 1/2 full for sure.
seems since I stopped smoking 7+ months ago my health and weight gain has gotten out of control
any help appreciated.
i'm going slow again on this trial pack as have more 12's and will just drag them out

OK i guess i can reply to this .......the pencil is a way i can delete what i posted.
I haven't seen any responses on the Savella?

Finally got a email to ck on this site.
wow I've never had trouble with forums before.
I wanted to reply to someone and didn't see how to do that.

I hope some people reply to this message as I'm trying the Savella for the 4th time. Each time i got to the 50's had to get off b/c of High B/P, ankle swelling, headaches and weight gain

can't afford that as quit smoking 7 months ago and gained from that.........
Been on just the 12's for a week and seeing internist today. He wanted me to try Tramadol with it but afraid b/c of the risk of serotonin syndrome like mentioned here

Cajun Girl are you still on Savella? I see you tried it and are a moderator so hope you see this and i get a email alert people posted.

Yeah there is no way to private message on this forum for some reason, you have to email the person via the button under their name but that only works if they're sharing their address.

Good Morning,
Just read all the comments.
Some are old but some new posts.
I'm now a week on 1 12 a day and yesterday upped to am, pm
was in such pain in the afternoon after pool therapy I took my first Tramadol 50 mgs at 1:00 with food and it knocked me flat. Sure pain was gone but so was my brain. Had to lay down but couldn't sleep
Then took the other 12 mgs Savella with dinner and fell asleep on the sofa for 2 hrs and went to bed
this am don't feel too bad but took 1 to talk myself out of bed.

Hope some others who are long time users of Savella or Tramadol will post.
We haven't been in CA long since we relocated here and haven't been out of do anything but going away for weekend and sacred to death of what these drugs will do

so tired of being tired and sad with no interest or energy
I'm usually such a up beat person

Does anyone know how long it takes for Savella poison to leave your system? Initially the boost of extended energy was a godsend, but that passed quickly. Now I feel like my system has been reset, in a bad way, from taking this med. It was a horrible experience for me, so many horrendous side effects; but I kept at it, expecting that everything would settle down. Finally the meanness, the whole-body-migraine & colitis attack convinced me to never use this med again. Now I am just tired and sad, feeling worse than ever. Is anyone else experiencing continuing effects?

My doctor told me it takes about 4 weeks to get it out of my system. I think for me persoanlly it took a little longer,but a lot of my really bad reactions stopped a few days after I didn't take any. Also this may depend on how much you took.

Me he would do his best. Savella works for me
It gives me energy and minimizes brain fog. You
Do have to start it slow and pay attention
To how it makes you feel and talk to your
Dr. If you notice any side effects (it's important
to get the dosage right) mine had to be changed
Twice now we have it right. If quality of life
Is what you want it can work. But as we all
know Fibromyalgia is different with different
People. I had nothing to lose but a lot to gain.

My own experience with Savella lasted about 10 days before the dr ordered me off it and to a cardiologist. The Savella had my resting heart rate going btw 110 & 140 at any given moment. So-it was a no go for me almost immediately.

I started Savella in December. The first two weeks on the tit.... pack were awful. I had horrible nausea, didn't get any pain relief, and felt lousy. Good news was after suffering the first two weeks I was a different person. My energy increased, my pain decreased and I started feeling like a normal person again. Im very glad I stuck with it, however even after a few months I still need to take it on a full stomach, although its a small price to pay.

It work with pain meds not as a primary pain med
I lost 25 lbs since I've been on it. And increased energy
All has been surprising to me I'm Hypothyroid also
Yes a side effect is high blood pressure I take BP meds
also and keep a journal of any changes to discuss with
my Dr. I guess it's different for each person as Tramadol
didn't work for me at all or Cymbalta
I take Opana which works for me after trying lots of different
Meds for Fibro. Good luck

thanks to everyone who posted about Savella.  I don't plan to go  back on it, ever, but am glad it has worked for some of you.  It's been about a couple of weeks without it, and I'm starting to feel better now, although I miss the nice, high, sustained energy level & clear thinking that it gave me.
