Well, I'm in the mood to laugh at fibro (obviously having a low pain evening) and thought that I would share some of my more amusing fibro fog examples, and hoping that others, in a similar mood, might also post theirs.
1. This one used to happen a lot before I knew about fibro. I would be so darn tired that I'd be driving my van and would try to put the clutch in to shift gears........except that my van is (and has always been) an automatic. Unfortunately, that darn break petal feels a lot like a clutch and would scare the heck out of other occupants in van as I would press hard on it by accident :) I haven't driven a standard in 10 years, but when tired, I go clutch crazy.
2. I don't know how many times I've driven down our street, towards my house and felt extreme alarm, spotting my driveway and thinking, oh my goodness! my van is missing! someone has stolen it!........only problem, I was driving that van at the time :)
3. This is more recent and made me laugh aloud. I had put my cell phone in my back pocket. A few hours later, I decided that it was lost and tried calling it from my home phone. I kept hearing the cell phone ringing behind me, turning around, looking for it......my kids pitched in, trying to figure out WHERE THAT RINGING was coming from.....yup, in my pocket...hahhahahaha
Hope that these silly stories brought a smile :)
