Fibro and a fever?

hi,

Can Fibro cause a fever?  the chills and feeling very sore and achey all over???  And as fast as it comes, it goes?  And I was so tired!

OR this could be the fact that I was just sick...

ps...It has happened only once but I have had hot sweats for months now.  Should I call the dr?

How old are you? Could it be hot flashes? You might be perimenopausal if you are young. I had it in my 30's. Just a thought.

I think it is always safe to talk to the doctor about new symptoms. So I would bring it up on your next appointment. If it is really bothersome, call sooner.

The only time I have felt hot is when I had hot flashes or an actual fever, so I can't help you there. I am always kind of warm. I don't get cold easy. Unless it is cold outside. But I am use to it. When everybody else is cold, I am usually comfortable. Hopefully that means I have good circulation.

I hope you find some answers soon.

Hi Karen,
I am 40 yrs old. I have discussed with my Dr previously about perimnopausal and that is a possibility but how I was feeling last night was horrible. I just had horrible aches and a fever off 100.5 (I run nirmally 97.9). Maybe this is nothing and I had a bug....

Kind of sounds like a bug. But if it doesn't go away, I would get ahold of the doctor.

I have this too. Today in fact. It usually comes after overdoing it physically the day before, or after extreme stress.

I've had a similirar experience, also when i was under sever stress. But i never had an actual fever though it just "felt" like one. Aches and chills all over and skin feeling hot to the touch, but the thermometer pointed out a normal temperature. So it might be that, but also migth be a bug. Try to get some rest, if it doesn't subside than i would def chat to your doc about it!

I've been feeling the same way since Friday. I've had this a few times. I have an appt. on Thursday and I'll let you know what the Dr. says. It's awful!

Hi guys,

I heard fibromyaglia is an autoimmune condition. We have sensitive immune systems. What's best to do is to take good supplements to strengthen your immune system, but more importantly try to eat healthy. A weakened immune system can contribute to getting colds and fevers. I try my best not to experience any more discomfort than I already have.
