Extreme Eye Pain - any ideas?

For the past three days I've been having extreme eye and head pain in my right eye and it radiates to the back of my head (on the right side also). It hurts so badly that I literally curl up into a ball and almost cry until the pain killers kick in. I've been managing with healthy doses of advil, but its still very disruptive. I ended up in the hospital a few weeks back for the same pain, but they did an exam and told me everything looked fine (no glaucoma or obvious damage, etc.).

Does anyone have any experience with this? Any ideas?

I'll go to my doctor in a few days if it doesn't stop, but at this point I'm avoiding that because I think my doctor is sick of seeing me lol.

Does your doctor think it could be a migraine? I get migraines with pain behind the eye. When you said you that you curl up in a ball from the pain, I could identify with that feeling!

I see a neurologist for migraine treatment.

Thanks everyone :) I went to a walk in clinic today who did a basic sight test and noted that my one eye tested worse than the other (it does seem blurry). He suggested I go to an eye doctor (optomotrist?) as soon as possible... so I'm making an appointment for tomorrow.

I have a feeling this is another mysterious fibro symptom - they just don't stop!

Thanks toughenough. I went to my optomotrist and he said he couldn't see anything immediately concerning, and suggested that this could be due to my fibro pain. Nonetheless, he's sending me to an eye specialist ASAP.The pain is getting better thankfully!
