Hello Everyone,

I've been fighting a flare for weeks. Some days are better than others. Woke up this morning to a resurgence of a sinus infection I've also been fighting. It has been raining all day. My neck and left arm hurt, and it's that nerve pain, feels worse than a broken bone.

Pseudaphed took some of the head and face pain away, but I'm exhausted and don't want to bother with anything. I have papers due and an exam to study for, but can't even get off the couch for more than five minutes at a time. I'm afraid to jump in the shower, it may make me feel worse.

I really believe that the sinus infection is kicking off this flare. The ENT doesn't believe in fibro, but he does understand the pain of sinus problems and is considering me a candidate for surgery. I had the procedure done as a teenager, and it helped me tremendously. The only problem is that the holes made were like ear piercings and they eventually closed up. Doctors have since improved the procedure, and the holes usually do not close up anymore.

I need to get myself moving today. It has been a long time since the fibro kept me immobile to this extent.

I agree with Sherrine, a hot shower can open you up. Also we have sinuses in the back of our head, so if you have a bed buddy, it would probably do wonders. And for your shoulder and arm too. I really hope that you feel better soon. Another good thing is an herbal sauna. Take a pan of water, heat it up. Put fresh herbs or pine needles in it. Put your face over it and cover your head with a towel. Netti pots can help too. I use to have one but I gave it away.

Free spirit...I often wonder if sinus issues are related to fibro. It seems like I have had a sinus problem since the fibro started. Has anyone else noticed this. have one of those neti pots too and I also find it helpful.
