The most recent studies have shown that vaccines do not cause autism. I do have an autistic nephew. This thought, though, has caused many not to vaccinate their children and now some of the horrible illnesses from the past are reoccuring.
I remember when I was in elementary school, they came out with the polio vaccine. You needed a total of five vaccinations...done, I think, one week apart. My parents made sure we got those. Then they came out with the oral vaccine and that was passed out in the schools and I had that, too. I'm glad. Before that, so many children as well as adults were crippled and you would see people that had to spend the rest of their lives in iron lungs. It was horrible.
I'm not thrilled about chemicals in these but they have saved a lot of lives...even the flu vaccine. The same goes for antibiotics. I'm just glad we have these things today. They have helped save a lot of suffering.
