Hi, I'm New :) Question about unlisted symptom

I was diagnosed two weeks ago. This forum is a godsend. I have read the Fibro 101 but not sure if this is a fibro symptom.

I have a sensitivity to what I call " recirculated air". I get *disoriented, dizzy, tired*.

You know when your in an office building, all the windows are sealed shut & the air keeps being pumped around?

I make sure I get tons of fresh air at home. Rarely have a problem here.

I actually had to quit working due to the air quality. Unless I'm moving a lot I'm hit like a truck. It usually happens quickly.

I do have asthma & smoke. I know not a smart idea but it keeps me sane.

From my research it looks like I have a reaction to the carbon dioxide in the air or something along the lines of that.

Any input would be appreciated.

It could be asthma related. I've pretty much outgrown it. I only have attacks when I smell stinky perfume.

I basically wanted to welcome you to the forum. We do have sensitivaties (sp) with fibro. Well, a lot of us do. So this could fall under either or both.

I smoke too. But being you have asthma, I am surprised that you smoke. Does it effect your asthma? I would think that it would. Just curious. Like I say, I smoke, so I can't judge anybody else for smoking.

I am glad that you checked out fibro 101. It is a very informative thread. Sounds like you are proactive with many of your health matters. And I think that coming here will contribute to that. We have so many wonderful and intelligent members.

As you probably well know, fibromyalgia is a somewhat invisible disorder and not everybody believes in it. So it is especially nice to come somewhere where there is support and you don't feel like you are going crazy anymore. There are others like you.
