What is going on?

Hi, I'm 29 and a mom to 3 and it was during my pregnancy with my last baby that the migraines kicked into high gear. I'm just tired of feeling tired and sore all the time. I have hashimoto's thyroid disease and endometriosis. I am used to the symptoms of hypothyroid and hyper and all that but lately I'm just in pain all the time. I've always dealt with aches and pains but it's got more frequent lately.
I've been dealing with frequent migraines complete with vomitting and just regular headaches, my whole body hurts deep inside, it reminds me of when I was little and I'd get growing pains. My muscles, joints and tendons hurt. A few days ago it was my arms, shoulders and hands that were hurting, today and yesterday it is my feet, legs, hips, and low back/tailbone. In addition to the muscle aches my skin has patches of super sensitivity. Like it feels tingly and burning like after a bad sunburn but theres no rash or injury. Anything that touches the sensitive spots causes pain. The sensitive spots aren't always in the same spots though, today they are my outer calves.
I am starting to suspect fibromyalgia since I already have an autoimmune disease going on. Or maybe it's just that? I don't know. It's hard for me to sleep at night because my hips and knees and shoulder and back hurt from however I lay down. It used to be I'd only get those aches and pains when hugely pregnant!

Any insight would be welcomed.

Tobias...Welcome to HW forum...I agree with ak angel it does sound familiar, and that you should try and get an appointment with a doc who knows about Fibro. I think you have come to the right place there are many members who will be able to give some advice.

ak angel...you had mentioned that you have figured out a treatment that helps your fibro...do you might sharing...I am always willing to try different things to help improve quality of life for one self.

A rheumatologist would be the one to diagnose fibro but I think a lot of us see a neuro before a rheumy anyway so you're all ready one step ahead. I would definitely mention all of your symptoms to the neuro and see what he thinks. You could always go back to your regular doc for a referral if you have to. Good luck!

Welcome to the forum! You've gotten some great advice already.

How old are your kids? When I think back to when mine were little, I remember so much pain! There was just no letup and I really thought for awhile I couldn't go on. My migraines started with my first baby, and I had the kind you describe, with vomiting and the whole 9 yards. Thankfully, now I rarely have one and when I do, they're not nearly as bad.

I have been on Nortriptyline for about 20 years. My primary doc diagnosed me with Fibro and prescribed it, and then a neurologist said that it should help with my migraines as well. I guess it has, but who knows? Maybe I just outgrew them. Anyway, as AK Angel said, we all respond very differently to meds and other treatments.

Very interesting.. I have a daughter who just turned 6 last week, a 3 yr old, and a 6 month old! I am also still breastfeeding! We have a lot in common! This whole past month my back, neck, and shoulder has been so painful and stiff..

Most of my complaints are vision stuff and pain. I really don't have anything helpful to add to your thread.. I just wanted to comment because we seem to have a lot in common :)

Historically, rheumatologists were the specialists who were involved with diagnosing fibromyalgia, but research in recent years indicates that fibromyalgia patients have abnormalities in the pain processing pathways of the nervous system -- thus many patients are now being referred to neurologists as well.
