I have been reading a lot about
just this... There is a book called eat to live and it was very interesting. Processed foods have 1/10 their original nutritional value... My diet for my entire life has been processed foods and little to no fruits and veggies.... I cannot help but think it had to have some kind of negative effect. Messed up my body chemistry... How would it not??? I have had little to no nutrition for so very long.
I am not so arrogant to say this new lifestyle of mine (fruits, veggies, beans, and minimal other stuff) is going to "cure" me, but it cannot hurt and I have tried everything else and nothing has worked so far so what do I have to lose. Food means nothing to me anymore after this 1.5 year stretch of pure hell... It has not been hard to make the switch over...
I am not even convinced I have fibro. My flares seems to come like clockwork every 2 weeks, I think something hormonal might be going on... I just do not know. I am not on any meds as its not painful or bad enough to be on meds, its skin sensation tortures every 2 weeks... I might have it I might not but I am giving this natures healing method a try as I want my life back. I need to lose about
80 90 lbs so my thought is it has to improve my condition if not "cure" it. So its worth a try...
Lots of people do say the rise in all autoimmune disease is caused by the standard American diet. Also you can eat all processed foods and be skinny. So my question would be does anyone who eats no sugar and no processed foods have fibro?? Its not about
the size and weight its about
the eating habits.
What i find interesting is a lot of people say this and even say changing you eating will cure disease. They actually say that and fibro is listed as one it cures as well as rheumatoid arthritis and I do not see anyone putting great effort to say its not true. That is what I find the most interesting. Fat sick and nearly dead, Dr. Furhman, a bunch of other people on the net selling books and whatnot how to change to eating all natural foods, detoxing and changing the shape of your cells... I am not one to jump on fads at all... I went in reading purely skeptical as well but I cannot find the opposition saying its not true.
