This is my most prevalent and annoying symptom. My arms and legs will burn like an internal sunburn. This symptom used to come every month few weeks now its more like 3 or more days a week. I have a squeezing headache too but I can live with that but this burning is driving me insane and Nothing takes it away so far if anything it gets worse when I take meds or supplements. Which makes me think I am med sensitive now...

Any one have anything work?? Fibro pain I have little of this annoyance I have all the darn time it seems. Thanks for any info...

I do know what you're talking about, but this isn't front and center for me at all, so I haven't really looked into it.

If I had to bet, I'd say it's just another variation of fibro pain - because it is still pain, (not itching, right?) and I know that my pain comes in all lovely variations - burning, throbbing, aching, buzzing, tingling, and on any given day I can go through them all.

It's too bad you haven't found any meds that help it!

I don't get the burning, but I do like BioFreeze for small owies. It has a lot of menthol, and yerba matre in it.

I know exactly what you mean--I get the all-over sunburnt feeling when I overdo things, and sometimes for no reason at all.  My fibro came with a heaping helping of what I call the neuro-weirdness--tingling, twitching, buzzing, jerking, burning, a head-to-toe  "whooshing" sensation.  It was ruining my life even more than the pain and fatigue.  Gabapentin (Neurontin) was the answer for me.  It doesn't help a bit with muscle pain, but my neuro-weirdness has been reduced by 90%.

I get the skin burning also.  Usually it starts from an irritation, like a rough piece of fabric, or stitching on clothing.  So I try and prevent it by watching what I wear.  I tuck soft cotton shirts in pants, I can't wear wool or nylon.  mostly cotton.  I did find that lanisol (sp?) made a chaffing cream that actually helped prevent the problem a bit, if I used it before it really started acting up.
