I have had a TENS unit for years and recently got another script
to get another one because I foolishly lost my previous one. They are not expensive and are very beneficial especially for shoulder and lower back pain. I use mine for the latter.
It would be helpful to gain the assitance of a physical therapist to adjust the settings for you at first in order to gain optimal beneficial relief from the pain you are experiencing. I also take oxycodone 15 mg every four hours and once in a while, I take the TENS off and use my lidoderm patches for pain relief to the area. I suggest you try what works the best for you.
I wear the TENS unit for hours at a time and have been known to sleep with it sometimes. It really can be very relaxing when set properly.
I hope I have helped someone out there.
God bless.
