eadaches after taking Cymbalta for 3 months

Hi,

My mom (67 years old) has been taking Cymbalta for her Fibromyalgia for almost 4 months. The Cymbalta seems to do a great job with her pain. However, in the last month ot so she's been suffering from horrible headaches and nothing she takes for the headache pain helps. I was wondering if it is possible that this type of side effect can start 3 months after she's been taking Cymbalta.

I often got the side effects a month or to into a medication. I think she should talk to the doctor and let them know she is uncomfortable with the side effects of the medication.

Are you sure it couldn't be something else causing the headaches? Has anything else changed besides her taking this medication?

Please do have her talk to the doctor.

Check askapatient.com to see if it's a symptom others have had with Cymbalta.

Headaches can be anything... neck vertebrae out of whack, low estrogen or changing estrogen levels, fatigue, stress, etc...

We were trying to see if something else changed in her diet or life style, but didn't find anything. We did check her blood pressure yesterday when she started suffering from a horrible headache and it was very high.
I think this has finally convinced her to talk with her doctor again.
She didn't try Lyrica and maybe it is a better fit for her.
