I have always been clumsy and accident prone. Anyone who knows me knows how clumsy I am. Yes Mrsppmrxky, I hope your daughter wasnt hurt badly too. I dont think I had similar problems with my knees, I do have the regular FMS pains in my knees though. There's a few books on amazon about hypermobility, mind you they are hard to read. I am going to my doctor in the next week or so and will bring this up with her and my rhumey.
I am very interested to find out if this could have caused my FMS. hypermobility seems to be a genetic trait that can be passed on to a child by one parent, both parents dont need to have the gene. So I want to make sure that my kids don't get FMS because of this, if there is any risk, I'm not saying there is yet anyway. All of the symptoms I have had over the last 6-7 years, or even longer, are exactly what is discussed in the book. But then again who knows, FMS is like that... I'll let you know if I find out anymore. Here are a few interesting links that got me started:
