sighh ya can't say I didn't try today.

I woke up took shower, washed hair, did laundry took out trash

I don't speak to doctor till thurs or friday re blood tests or bloodpressure chart  for bp and pulse rate that drops..

I was up at 6 a.m.

we will have very humid weather for next 3 days

then the temps will drop.....

will prob have to put on a/c temps are supposed to be 77 and and humidex reading will make it feel like 86

with thunderstorms on wednesday and or thursday

well I am so tired now and tried to lie down at noon after I fed my little dog..    slept for 5 minutes... cannot even do that

 

and I am so cold...  and it is so warm out..

 

but ya cant say I did not try.....

 

sighhhhhh

 

just going to take it easy ... hate this.. really do..

I'm with you on the a/c ... ours is powering up now before I can turn it on. We had rain late yesterday evening, it helped to get the dust and grit outside under control. Our temps have been very warm here and it was so hot in the house yesterday I thought I was going to self-combust. Could it have been my fibro acting up after the physiotherapy appointment yesterday? It felt like my body was running a fever and I was overheating, does that happen to anybody else? Had a terrible sleep last night, even with the windows open I was too hot, yet hubby said it wasn't hot in the house ... Today the temperature has dropped a few degrees and I had some windows open to get a cool breeze going. The temperature in the house right now is 65 degrees and I'm feeling much more comfortable. Who knows what the heck is going on with me ...

Starry, that's a good plan you have, to take it easy. Try to rest today. Keep us posted when you can.

Yup I did try... hadn't washed hair since the darn vertigo spell last thursday and being with low bloodpressure wouldnt dare try.. I did shower but really fast but not since Saturday feeling as bad as I did. I really felt weak doing it today but I was determined.

 

Do you have Central Air...  I have to call to have mine cleaned and serviced to make sure it is working ok.  thank god I am covered fully under warranty..  I am sure it works..but want to make sure .. I will call beginning of April for this.

 

I know what you mean about self combusting..  it was like that on Sunday in my house..

 

well now I dont need it yet ..I am freezing.. really freezing..

 

I don't go to physo but sometimes I do something and get so so hot... it is insane.  so I know what you mean.

 

Ya know I don't think anyone but us knows what goes on with us... not even the doctors ... really

 

I am trying to rest..but I spent all winter sitting on the couch

would sure like to do somethings here like my grocery order online....  and other things. but truly have no patience to do anything.  

 

Hope you feel better later..... hope the temps dont go too high.......sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Take care not to overdo if you are flaring!

Trying to do the best we can is all we can do. Some days are harder than others...the weather does play a role in how we feel. We had tornado warnings last night and we are expected to get up to 4'' of rain in the next couple of days. I know that means that I have to be extra careful to pace myself, use my moist heat often, do gentle stretching and try to get a walk in....if I don't I know I'll hurt all the more.

Living with fibro is a balancing act...a real 3 ring circus turn

I heard about Tornados in Texas.. How terrifying..  I know someone in San Antonio and I haven't heard from them yet today and I hope they are ok.... 

I hope you are safe from the Tornados now...

The weather does play a big part.. 
and for sure we have to pace ourselves.  fact being is I have one good day and then 6 bad days...  

today was good until aorund noon.......

I hope tomorrow will be a bit better. I hope..

let's hope we all have a good day tomorrow!

Must have felt great to be able to shower and wash hair, even though you were feeling so weak, and you got some muscles moving too, good for you!

Yes, we have central air - it's always good to have the cleaning and servicing done every year, although we're not always spot-on with doing that.

I agree with what you said, that not even the docs know what is really going on with us! These are not hot flashes, it's like I'm on "overheat". Got out of the shower and was so hot, by the time I finished towel-drying off, I was soaken wet with perspiration again. Don't know why I bothered to blow dry my hair - it was damp a minute later. Using a flat iron on it didn't do anything - it just hung there, like limp spaghetti.

Are you able to do any reading (other than online) - books, magazines? I have so many books that are in my "to read" pile, yet my concentration is off sometimes so it's difficult.
I understand when you say you have no patience to do anything - but hey! you TRIED, and you got some movement in! Way to go, Starry-Eyes :)) I hope you feel up to moving around a little more later on ... I'm going to go do some stretches now, been sitting at the computer a wee bit too long and I'm feelin' it.

It sure did feel good, even if I had alot of anxiety doing it... and to much head movement could bring on vertigo so you know how I was feeling..

I try to be spot on with the cleaning because if it should break

I would run to a hotel lol with my dog. till it was fixed.. I could not live in here when it gets that big humidity..  oh gosh no... I would melt and be so sick...   cannot stand the humidity and heat...

I am freezing right now. and please let it be thurs or friday so I could speak to the doctor..   pushing the week I know but I am so wanting to talk to him.

Oh I take hormones for menopause so I know it is not that....  I told my general doctor it is not hormones for menopause....  we know our bodies best and they need to listen to us.. really listen.. cause they are not in our bodies..

I have an IPAD with Kindle on it and alot of books..  but like i said no patience to read....  I used to be a big reader really,  since my husband died I have no patience to read.   I hope one day it comes back.. and my eyes are not good so it is hard..

ok be gentle with the stretches and then enjoy the rest of the day...  I just fed my little dog and hope to sit near the window with her in the sun.  I am still not able to walk outside. feel to weak.. and shaky....

but ya I did try :-)

Starry- eyes...the days I feel totally burned out, I will find a good movie or show to watch on TV...but I make myself get up at every commercial to move around, so I don't get stiff. I make sure, I'm in my comfy clothes and have my moist heating pad with me and a bottle of water. The TV gets my mind off my discomfort.

Living in AR...5 miles from OK I'm in tornado alley. I live in the river valley area. It does get scary at times. I'm from WI and we never got as many tornado warning as here.This time of year, there are alot of storm systems that go through...the body feels it...I really know that when the weather is crummy, I have to be careful not to overdo...which I'm guilty of often...I'm as stubborn as they get :)...not so good when you have stuff going on :)

Robin, I know what you mean... I have my laptop in front of me on the coffee table and I keep my water, pills, and the phone right beside me in case of vertigo so I could call someone....  and I watch

old comedey shows...  and I do get up and walk around too .. all except when I have vertigo. I lay on the couch.... as after the attack I sleep alot but keep the tv on for noise and distraction from how I feel... 

omg yes sure would get scary at times....  I would be scared.  we had bad wind storms here last summer and I totally was petrified..  

My little dog pants and shakes during thunderstorms and I have to calm her down..... and I don't like them either but I have to be calm for her.. I don't cherish the storms coming this week or this summer....  

well I don't have alot of stuff going on.. but I know if you do it is sure hard to get up and do when the weather sets you down..... really...

yes better days ahead.  and keep safe in this weather..

I hope I hear from my friend later.. perhaps she is at work....

Starry-Eyes, you seem to be sounding a wee bit perkier and if that's correct, then I'm glad you are out of that deep dark abyss. For today, anyway - tomorrow will take care of itself. You did a lot today, you deserve to treat yourself in some way (yes, I'm big on rewards, LOL, they keep me going). And then, Thursday will be here before you know it - 2 more sleeps! yipeee! :) - and then you'll have proper direction from the doctor.

My dog used to tremble and pant, pace and whine during a thunderstorm. If you've ever heard a Basset whine that miserable, pathetic Basset-whine, you know how it gets on your nerves: it goes on and on non-stop, until the thunderstorm stops or dog wears herself out and goes to hide in a dark corner somewhere. We used to feel so helpless and didn't know how to help her get thru it. She would not calm down - we tried to distract her with toys, but it never worked. I think she was traumatised from the domestic abuse that was going on in the breeder's home from the time she was born. She was always a jumpy, nervous doggie, poor thing :(

Our cat, though, seems to be okay during storms. We had a thunderstorm last evening and he was busy chasing dust bunnies all over the house, happily leaping around and trying to engage us in play :)

Crazykitty, we have had only a couple of tornado watches in past summers and I was terrified. It must be awful for you. Every time we hear of tornados or other disasters around the world, we always feel anxious for those it affects and keep all in our prayers.

Starry, I hope your friend calls and you have a good chat - those are so good for the soul :)

So, I did my (yes, gentle indeed Starry, thanks) stretches and had a late lunch, now am hunting around for some nibblies to treat myself ... hmmmmmmm ... Mars Bars in the pantry - should I or shouldn't I ... hmmmmmm ... OK, that just might do the trick :)
Will put on a BBC series DVD later, Monarch of the Glen, and just veg ... hope you all have a good evening, with not so much pain.

Thanks.. well I am not with vertigo today... so I am perkier.... I stood outside for 5 minutes with my dog but got very shaky so came back in....   yes for today... tomorrow is tomorrow ..but you know how it is with GAD..   we worry about tomorrow right...    I hope I hear from him by then.. cause he might be at the hospital alot as he is chief there.. and he just got back from spring break with his family so he might be all over the place....  

never heard a basset whine. but it must be so sad to hear. I know my dog when she pants and shakes it goes on even after the storm.. and with her heart valve problem I worry...

nothing will distract them when it is that bad. I know.  even when there are fireworks and we hear them..   she does that. 

lol re your cat..... I am glad it doesnt bother him.

well so far she must be at work..... so no news is good news...

yes treats are always good..... enjoy!!!!

I have no treats in the house.... but wish I did lol....

enjoy the rest of the day!!!!!!  and your treat....

If we lived closer, I'd say, come on over - I'll share my Mars Bars with you over a cup of something, your doggie can play with my cat, and we'll watch a movie together :)

5 minutes is way better than 0 - that's wonderful, that you were able to do that!! Yay, You! :)

I know, we do worry anyway - but can we try to give the GAD to GOD, just this once?

Sorry, but did I miss something, about a friend, the hospital chief? Hope all is well in any event.

LOL I love Mars Bars......yummy    my dog would not even pay attention to the cat lol.    really... she has never been near a cat and even if a dog  comes near her she comes closer to me..   she really is a very sheltered little dog.....   yes a movie a comedy...!!!!!!

well I went out in my back yard... it is huge and walked around with her in my arms.. not letting her down on the grass yet until she gets her shots...    she doesn't see well so she is kind of afraid......

I was a bit shaky and didnt want to overdo  but did walk around it 4 times.....

funny tho when I went out the gate to the front I got more shaky....

bp is still low.... and I think I felt safer in my back yard.....

no no my doctor is chief of medicine at the hospital lol....

sorry didn't explain it well......

Actually, your dog playing with my cat (or vice versa) was wishful thinking ... I doubt my cat would have anything to do with your doggie too ... he is extremely shy and still getting used to people. Every time someone comes to the door, he runs and hides. When someone comes by to visit, like my mum, he'll check her out from afar then run away and hide somewhere. Usually under a bed.

Wow, you walked a lot yesterday Starry - do you think 4 times might have been too many to start with? you know, baby steps and all that ... it's easy to overdo. Hope you are okay today.

BLESS GAD?????? eeek ?????? sorry, that one's a 747 (over my head like an airplane) too ... I meant, to give your General Anxiety Disorder (GAD) to GOD, and we don't want to bless the GAD, we want GOD to take it away from you ...

My son is taking me shopping today, need some summer clothes - hmmm - we'll see how that goes. Mother Nature is having a mood swing again today, so feels like some kind of change in weather is coming.

Cancelled my physio for today as I'm still overheating and feeling generally yukky as my body still hasn't recovered from Monday's appointment, so I'll go Friday instead. Probably should take some ibuprofen before I leave to help me thru the drive and walking ... am hoping to be back in less than 2 hours including traveling time as I looked online first and phoned ahead to have them hold a few things.

I remember the days when I could make a shopping spree last all day, come home and make dinner, then go out again, and still have energy left. Those days are sooo over and long gone ... sigh ...
But - trying to stay positive, not to have anticipatory anxiety about things that may not come, so wish me luck! :)

sorry it took me so long to answer having a bad day with my eyes, neck and burning on top of the crown of my head..plus pain  all over.

so both our furry babies would just ignore each other
better like that lol...

ya it probably was too much around the yard which is big  4 times.....   but also it was the washing of the hair and head movement that also did me in....
and I did not sleep well like I did the night before.

lol sometimes I write like I talk and don't make any sense lol

lol an expression  use  re BLESS GAD like BLESS FIBRO..  for sure we want G-D to take it away from us.

Ya the weather is very hot here and will be tomorrow with thunderstorms and then WHAM friday it will drop for the next week..  

I haven't been shopping in two years. do it all online
I am a size 5-6 so it is easy for me to do and I only wear black so even easier.. I wear lululemons all the time .. I have like 8 pairs..  so I just need t shirts. and usually I wear long sleeves so I have no problem with clothes.  I also have white and pink t shirts I wear in summer...

I wish you luck with the shopping and I hope walking around doesnt do you in too much..

oh yes I remember when I was working. we were up
at 5:30 and home by 7 p.m.  and I would shop while I was waiting for my husband to finish work......
sighhhhhhhhhhhhh well those days are over for me..

cannot do it anymore..

Oh dear, you poor thing - I'm so so sorry you are having such a pain filled day today ... are you able to rest at all?

My day isn't going that great either. Started out with a bang though, and ended with a pounding headache. Some sales gal was wearing vanilla brown sugar toilet water or whatever the heck, drenched in it to the hilt, and it was so strong, so much of it, that I was nauseated almost the whole time I was in the store. Headache is so bad I'm seeing double - near migraine. Neck hurts and I ache all over, and my feet are killing me. So I am empathizing Big-Time with you! :( I will need to rest for sure after dinner.

BUT, on the upside :) (there's always gotta be an upside, right?) - it was a Very fruitful shopping spree and my son is so caring and thoughtful, he surprised me with a Starbuck's Earl Grey tea he brought into the fitting room, sat down and waited patiently while I tried on practically the whole store, made helpful comments about what I was trying on, so that was the best part :)

This is my first time out shopping for clothes this year. I usually check things out online first. Then I'll phone and have them put things on hold until someone can get down there to pick them up for me. I had shopped online yesterday for pants and a top, had them hold them and my son picked them up for me. Well, I tried them on and had to take them back today. Depending on the manufacturer, the sizes can vary and that's always an issue for me. You're so lucky you can get good results shopping online. I never know how something is going to fit, regardless of the size.

So ... I got myself a 3/4 sleeve navy and taupe patterned swing jacket with a taupe tank; a black cami, cropped style animal print (black and white) sweater and black capris ... needed to try on navy pants also but the vanilla brown sugar atmosphere was too much so I stopped it there, paid and left the store. UGH!

Saw a really cute "biker mama" type jacket perfect for this in- between weather and a few other things, but I couldn't wait to get out of there as it was, one more minute and I would have had my throat close up on me and I was having a hard time breathing. I told the gal, the smell was bothering me big-time and she apologized, but that doesn't really help ... she tried to wash it off, apparently, but by then it was too late.

So that's the update on my big outing ... let me know how you are doing, Starry - I'm worried about you ...

I am having a miserable day.....

a/c central air is broken... called right away ... they are coming tomorrow and I am so hot and stressed now.

 

my dog who has heart valve probs. is not sounding good

and I have to call the vet. to do her heart test as I do it 2 times a year..    she might have to be put on the meds now..

 

and being in the heat in here she is panting more...

 

I never got my online groceries done......  I started it but didn't finish it...

 

I am too worried about my little dog...

 

my scalp is burning  I get that on the crown of my head, ear is ringing and if i get vertigo I will scream..

 

I  have to be well for the a/c guy tomororw

 

friday the temps will be cold again

 

waiting for drug store to come so I could have the new bp pill

 

my anxiety is over the hill and I keep listening to how

she is breathing...sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

 

oh my god I cannot stand the smell of any kind of perfume... not even cleaning stuff... I use all no scent stuff

 

vent away . you had a rough day for sure......oh crap....

 

all the pain. you did too much.. much too much ..

 

you are so blessed to have such a good son....  wow....

and you got some really nice stuff. WAY TO GO.. WHOO HOOO GIRL...... TERRIFIC..

 

YA WELL once it is on her body. hard to wash it off... they should really make it a rule that sales people should not wear

scents.  as so many people are sensitive today to these things...

 

but all in all you got great stuff......   I am proud of you...

wear it all well!!!!!!!

 

for me to shop online I always make sure they have free shipping by fedex or ups back or I wont buy there..

 

go and rest..... you really need too!!!!

UPDATE ON MY DOG..
I called the vet .... her heart test is scheduled for april 10th.
he is going away on sunday
he will come get her tomorrow just to examine her and bring her back to me..

my anxiety is over the edge
and it is 82 degrees in this house..

Yes, you overdid it yesterday, and now I overdid it today ... sigh ... and on top of it, your a/c broke down so you are probably melting like I was the other day!

Awwwww, your poor little doggie ... ! Is it supposed to cool down for the evening/night out your way, or will you get any reprieve from the heat at all before Friday?
It's such a worry, I know ... these poor little creatures, when they get sick sometimes it's worse to cope with than if we are sick. Is the vet able to come today or will it have to wait till morning?

I'm going to go put my feet up now and have a cup of tea ... I'll be thinking of you, hoping that you're not suffering too badly, and that your precious doggie is okay ... keep me posted please.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHH smhair   YES....   my neighbour came in and flipped the breaker and it flipped back so there is definately something wrong....    sighhhhhhhhhhhhhh and I am fed up big time.. and in a massive flare and if I get vertigo I will scream  and on top of it I hwill start the new bp diruetic tomorrow...  we are both in a mess yup.... smhair

well she is my very first priority.   always and forever. but he will come tomorrow to get her and examine her and then do the heart test on april 10th........while she is there tomororw I will be in a  total panic till he brings her back to ne

it will cool down to 56 tonite but still the house is hot..... mad

it will be fixed tomorrow and then lol I will have to put heat on

and the humidifers on friday lol... ha hah devil

oh she has had this heart valve prob. all her life..  we would do the heart test twice a year.... and her teeth cleaning....

yes go put your feet up and have some tea for me too.   I am going to chill too..

didnt get the groceries done and well that will have to wait.

and my new med just came.. and I got a surprise from my pharmacist a cadbury easter egg. you know the one with the creme it it and I am eating it....oh yeah

I always love to hear when people get new things.. so nice to hear  that... really..
