had an MRI scan of the noggin' a couple weeks ago the doc set me and appointment with a neuroligist. i have "white matter disease"..what ever that is.. all i know is latley i've been having dizzy spells that usually last about 3-4 hours then go away. unfortunatley today when i was driving home with the grandbabies i had a spell. i was about 5 miles from home. i slowed down to about 40 and just eased my way home.(i live out in the country) when i got home i was sooo dizzy that it made me sick...literaly. this coming from someone who can ride on every ride that has been made, with out getting sick.

   anyone ever heard of white matter disease?

 Is that what they said you had ?

Going to the neurologist is a good thing,

 They will test you for other things , It can be caused,

By age High blood pressure and other things so I was told

I also have lessions in the white matter of the brain

They say it will be something they will watch

I also have dizzy spells But my neurologist doesnt seem

interested in any of that, So hopefully you will get a good one!

I sure hope they figure out whats going on,

Good luck would like to know what your nerologist says

Well, I googled it and found that there are many different diseases under the umbrella "white matter disease." (I have to google everything, because I want to have some idea before I even get to the doctor - my husband thinks that's borrowing trouble, but I disagree. I think it's being prepared. But everyone is different.)

How long do you have to wait for your appointment with the neurologist?

That must have been pretty scary when you had a dizzy spell while driving! I'm glad you were able to slow down and make it home safely. Let us know how it goes, ok?

I would be nervous too. I am glad you are going to a specialist. A lot of times things sound worse then they are. When I worry about things, I ask myself can I change the problem right now. Most of the time I can't, so I tell myself I will future it out when time comes. I hope you understand. Lol
