i am 70 years old with FM and iBS and really would like to keep in contact with some FM people my age. With
aging
there are body changes and thus the iBS changes and the FM. If anyone would be interested in being a email buddy please let me know.

Hi Linda
I am in your same situation agewise. Sometimes I think it's Fibro and IBS and then I think age! I'd be delighted to be your email buddy but I don't know how we go about
exchanging email addresses on here, do you?
Arleen.

We prefer if you click on the name to go to the profile to get the email address. It isn't safe to post it on the forum, because everybody can get it. In your profile only members can see it. Email me anytime. My address is in my profile. I am 53. But feel 80. lol... But not everyday. Some days are better than others.

Hi Linda, when you asked about
older women, I thought that you meant me. LOL I am 53, but feel 103. My name is Linda also. For years I was told I had IBS, come to find out, staying away from Gluten keeps my IBS pretty much under control. Today has been a weary day from the muscles cramping up and hurting.
Welcome to the board.

Wow...joining you in the scary room! Body is 63...mind thinks I'm a lot younger, except when my memory forgets to think that way. Feel like I am 90 especially if I have been sitting down and get up to walk anywhere. ):
When I was on the younger side of 40....I felt that I could accomplish anything, even with my FMS. Now, I dread aging. It is frightening when you don't have the stamina or control that FMS robs you of even on a good day. I know that they say fibro is not a progressive illness. Someone clue in my body. I used to go through periods of time without any major flare up. The last 10 years has been constant. Like so many of us.....I am not tired....I am weary. Tomorrow is another day!

Maybe we should start a new forum "getting old with FM and IBS." I know a lot of things have changed in my life and seem to change all the time. My IBS seems worse and flares are nore often, my FM flares are the same way and starting to affect my hips and my knees. I developed fascitis in my heels and have that for for almost a year.
I thought these were the golden years???
Gentle hugs to all you oldies, lol. Linda

As a retired nurse, I learned what the real Golden years were about
. I would see so many people finally get to retirement and their health went sour. I told myself, enjoy the world now because you might not be able to see the world when you got 65. We have millions of visitors each year and our hospitals are packed due to the so called Golden Years!

Maybe the definition of "Golden Years" means: the years that you spend gold on doctors and medication. :)

Young, but feel older than dirt. I'm being tested for IBS and Chron's and Celiac. Just starting a gluten free diet. Also have the foo foo... ah aka fibro
