I'm always getting a kick out of the names people pick.  Mine was pretty obvious idea but others of you have really mysterious-sounding ones.  If you feel like sharing, what's the story behind yours?

I used to fuse glass and for awhile I was into making small dishes with an olive motiff. I made hundreds of "glass olives".

Well I used to be blonde, til 2 years ago when I lost my hair, now I'm brown headed hehe... the joys of chemo. Anyhow, growing up I loved watching the Smurfs... and both Smurfette and I are the only blondes in the family. Due to all the emotional stress from family (especially sister whos bipolar and doesnt do medication) I like to be in the shadows, unexistant. Hence SmurfyShadow .... But I didnt like the SmurfShadow so I gave it a feminine twist with a y to smurfy.

Namian3 is a blend of the first two letters of each of my kids' nick-names in birth order.

Nate = Na
Mia = mi
Anna= an

I pronounce it like their names too Nay-mee-an

The three is just their number, I use that often because for some odd reason there are other people who think they can use MY username. I challenge them over the rights to it!

At the time I was joining the forum, I had just adopted two kittens. Both kitties were always getting into something and I seemed to be always saying crazy kitty.

I will admit to being crazy at times, but haven't figured out how to turn myself into a kitty...yet. LOL

My best fibro-buddy was a Dalmatian named Vesta...that was her name when we got her.  'Vesta' was the name of some Greek Godess...I forget which one, but of course.  Sadly, she has passed on and I wondered if it would make me sad to look at her name every day but I get wonderful memories instead!

Well, I was very ingeneous.  I used my real first name.  tongue    I know it's suggested that we don't but since it was unusual, I didn't think people would think it was my real name.  Oh, well.  Even though we have the user names, we know most of your real names too.  smilewinkgrin

Mine comes from my pre-illness days. My DH and I loved to restore old cars. The last one was a nova. ms- cause I am female, and 74 my birth year.

Working in the spiritual care field, I was referred to as an 'angel' by some of my regular patients. Feather refers to the light touch I can tolerate "once in a blue moon" :)

I get severe pain in my lower abdomen from endometriosis. It feel like someone is stabbing me with a knife. Dagger sounds a bit more mysterious than Knife.

I am currently owned by a 2 yo Maltese, Spookie.  Her birthday is Halloween.  When I got her, I had visions of her in full coat, down to the ground. Ha Ha! Silly me! The coat is a dirt magnet.

When registering I used the name "fibro2010", which became my screen name. After a few days I became determined to tackle this syndrome head on, and no longer wanted to define myself as "someone who has fibro". Free Spirit sounded good to me, it still does!

I would like to say I am but I'm not a chef! "Mealmaker" is my son's surname (not mine) and it is easy to remember and generally not taken so that's what I use for a lot of forums. I do cook though and make meals though but more often than not, DH does the cooking.

My name is descriptive...I love rain...thus loverain. Very simple! I just want to say that I love the name STARRY-EYES and the story behind it. All of the names are very different and fun to know the meaning behind them. As for your name, Sherrine...it's a very pretty name and I don't think I've ever known anyone by that name.

My name comes from being a compulsive gambler. ( have not placed a bet in 7 years, hoorah)
Anyway, one of the phrases most commonly used in gamblers anonymous and that darned 28 days movie is- insanity-doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results, which was actually coined by Albert Einstein. So, I became noinsanity, so I don't do the same thing over and over and 76, the year I was born.

I am a wannabe candle maker, but I can't make candles because of all my allergies AND because I'm such a klutz that no one should let me around melted wax. Anyway, bw comes from the first two words I would have used in my business name (blue willow), and the fm comes from......wait for it....the fact I have fibro.
