I have already been diagnosed for a little over a year with fibro but now I may have ms. Does anyone else here have ms too?Having a problem getting any answer in the ms forum thats why I am asking anybody here. I have spinal fluid that has o bands in it with normal serum,has anyone had a lumbar puncture and did it show o bands?

I hang on another forum and check out the MS threads while I'm there. There are some people there that have both. The symptoms are so similar, they say it's hard to get a dx for them. Most there have had MRI for dx, and see a neuro.

Nana, like Debbie, I sure hope this is a false alarm.  But there are medications that do help MS so you can live a full life.  I don't really know a lot about MS so I can't answer your question but I am going to change your subject line so you might get more responses. 

 

I had a friend that was diagnosed with MS and she was so frightened.  I found this link that helped her see that she could still have a very full life with MS.  Hope this helps you some.

Nana, my daughter has MS, although she is one of the few that don't have the lesions, so she can't get on any meds for it. She has had it for 7 years. This winter she developed optic neuritis, and they still refuse to put her on meds. So she is trying more natural ways to help her symptoms, although she goes to physical therapy for her walking. she wears an ankle foot othodic to help her toes to lift instead of drag. She is 31.
