o bands are short for oglioclonal bands and they form in blood and spinal fluid as a part of immunoglobulins. They should not be present in the spinal fluid they only are when an antibody crosses the blood brain barrier. They are a sign of central nervous system inflamation. Most people with ms have them but other diseases can cause them to show up too.Encephlamyelitis, stiffmans syndrome...etc... so its hard for the doctors to figure out. Schambergs disease is a non dangerous form of vasculitis..could be viral induced or medicine induced. there is a pinpoint rash that is irregular circular pattern and its mostly located on the lower leg. It is just bugging me about them finding something in my spinal fluid thats not supposed to be there and with along the other symptoms that are all left sided...the tingling, stiffness numbness, tightness, sore throat, increased anxiety occasional dizziness..twitching in left ear and foot and lower leg(all left sided)chest tightness and inbetween shoulder blade tightness...facial stiffness.
