Anyone ever had the nerve tingling...you know where?

Hi all - this is a bit of an embarrassing situation. Has anyone ever had their fibro affect erhm, private parts?

Background:
For starters, I have fibro, Crohn's, and PCOS - so my stomach area is just a hoot and a half. For the past week, I've been having a lot of pain in my lower abdomen. I thought I have an ovarian cyst, but the ultrasound showed nothing. I'm also not pregnant, have no infections, etc, and just had a colonoscopy that came back normal. With the pain though, comes a weird sensation - like a tingling and slight tugging on my belly button, going straight to my more sensitive lady parts. The pain has since went away and I had a MAJOR fibro flare where my shoulders and hips were affected. That made me think - I'm wondering...could my fibro be acting up on that particular ball of nerves? Has anyone else ever experienced such a thing? I guess it makes sense if it affects all nerves, but I'm not sure what I should be thinking here! Any experience in this situation may be helpful.

I know this will also sound strange, but I've been feeling vibrating sensations lately. It's almost like before I have a fibro flare and I get that tingling/bugs walking across my scalp sensation. It's kind of awful though. If you think this should be redirected to another condition board, let me know and I can do that. Who know what it's related to.

PS - Female. Hope you got that from the "not pregnant" thing - but maybe males with fibro feel a similar sensation? It's almost like getting right to orgasm and then...not. Does it exist or am I going crazy?

I get a strange twinge in that private area sometimes but lately I have been having internal vibrating especially in my feet and inside my head.  The head vibrating keeps me from falling asleep and it is scary. I hate taking prescription drugs even though I have so many different bottles of them in my nightstand.  The problem is when the head/brain vibrating is really bad the only thing that calms it down is Xanax.  So I take one and go to sleep but not every night.  I am having tremendous pain in my piriformis muscle with pain running down my leg to the foot at this moment.  HATE PAIN!

Hi, I don't get this nerve tingling in the area you're mentioning but after reading what sawa had to say about sleeping I had to mention that with all the pain that I experience if it wasn't for sleep supplements I wouldn't be able to sleep.

For years I took melatonin and l-theanine and it worked fairly well for me. I've just begun a supplement called Calm by Metagenics. Sometimes I have to add the melatonin and l-theanine to be able to sleep. It feels so nice to be able to get a decent night's rest more often now.

I would love to get the tingling. lol... I have noticed my sexual appetite has been a little higher and I am happy for that. It means I am feeling good and relaxed. For all of you with the tingle, enjoy!!!

Whoa. I would have never thought to attach that to Fibro. The same things happens to me! It is an odd feeling. I'm married...and I've even felt guilty for it before thinking something was turning me on without me even realizing it. But you're right...a lot of times it is right before a flare or when there is bad weather or after or during exercising.

Hi. I experience a throbbing sensation in my groin too. I went to Mayo and picked up a pamphlet about fibro. It notes endometriosis for females, is connected to fibro. I wonder if this is the culprit?!
