It is supposed to be in the 100's all week...I've always said, I can stand the heat better than the cold...this will be a good test. turn

Praying for those in the path of Debbie that they remain safe. yeah

You are a strong lady, but pls be careful in that kind of heat. It can take its toll on you for the heart and breathing, for starters.

We had a heat index most of last wk in the low 100's. My DH had a problem w/ heat exhaustion, it was very worrisome. We are having T-storms today, not 'Debbie'. It will be leaving us very sticky for the rest of the wk. The temps should be moving back into the 90's again - so I expect the heat index to climb way up again. Yay! NOT!

Hi Alice, sorry to hear your husband had problems with heat exhaustion. The hot temps can cause lots of trouble for some.

I was out earlier this morning trying to beat the heat watering my flowers. the humidity alone can do a number on me. Having diastolic heart failure and lung problems, I need to be careful...crazy symptoms can creep up quickly. High for today is 105.. so glad I'm not flaring...really pacing myself, it is too easy to get winded and that forces me to sit.

I can't stand the heat and humidity with the fibro I have. It makes me ache and the fatigue sets in then. I can stand cold better. That 100 deg heat is due in here on Thurs. Needless to say I will stay in the house in the air cond.

Mother Nature took care of watering my plants last night, but I usually water early in the morning, too. We had a rather cool and breezy day today, but the humidity will be returning tomorrow thru at least the weekend. I can do w/o that, but what can you do?

I'm glad your not flaring, hope it stays that way!!

I like to weed either in the early morning or in the evening. I have a rolling cart that I sit on, as I can't kneel on the ground. It helps to keep me moving a little bit longer and get rid of the endless weeds. lol Do you think something like that might help you to avoid getting winded? I worry bout you.

Hi Cats, I can't deal w/ heat and humidity or cold. They all make me ache terribly and wear me out. I don't blame you for staying in the ac when this hot weather hits. I hope you come thru alright on Thursday.

I am different from most. I my main problem in the summertime is the AIR CONDITIONING! If it were up to me, we wouldn"t use it unless the heat was absolutely unbearable. However, I am outnumbered at our house 3-1, so we use it usually May-September. I think it was maybe even in April that we turned it on this year. It makes me ache, and fatigue sets in. Sometimes, it even makes the glands in my neck swell. My sinuses bother me more with it, also. I think going in and out of the AC is hard on a person's body, also. We notice the heat more when we have been in a building that is absolutely cold, like they keep some stores. Seriously, I sometimes find things to do outside when I can just to be able to stay out of it. Usually if I can be in the shade at least part of the time, I do just fine. Or, if if it is super hot, I wait until the latter part of the day to go out. I just make sure to drink plenty of water. I have been working on my daughter's swimming pool for the last couple of days, and it has been in the mid 90's (it's in a shaded area). A soon as the new liner arrives for it later this week, I am going to install it, fill it, and that is where I am going to spend every spare moment for the rest of the summer. In the meantime, if someone turns the AC up, I am turning it down as soon as noone is looking.
