What sunscreen do you use?

What is the best protective sunscreen to use?

In a couple of weeks I am going to visit my kids. It will be the first time in 5 years that we will all be together and they have chosen to go camping for the weekend. (UGH!). Not my most favorite thing to do, but its for my kids. I do not tolerate the sun at all or the heat for that matter. What sunscreen do you use?

I used the spf 50 last month when I was in the sun for an hour and I got sun poisoning!

I don't think a sunscreen would keep you from getting sun poisoning...is that sunstroke?

I can certainly understand your not looking forward to camping!  Sure it's wonderful to be out in nature, but lack of physical comfort (or what little we with chronic pain can grab of it) has kept me from doing it for decades.  Heck, I rarely even go to our cabin because there are no comfortable beds.  Or chairs.

So, I hope you manage to have a good time anyway!

    ...I'm a Melanoma Cancer survivor, and got very lucky they caught it in time. It is a very deadly cancer, and once gone too far, there is little hope. If you are a sun lover, make sure you have yourself checked out by a skin Dr.

  I asked my Dr to check out a mole, and he said it was nothing to worry about, but took it off anyways and had it tested...5 to 6 days later he called me himself and said get in right away...that I had cancer. A few days later I was in surgery to have it removed. With Melanoma, they excise about two inches around the mole, so they took a rather large chunk out of my arm. I recently had another one checked, and it too was cancer, so at this point I pay attention to my body and constantly scan for any signs of it.

  Bottom line!...be careful! Please! Most people do not know how deadly Melanoma is...and trust me on this...it's very deadly!
