I do that too! I usually call hubby to be, what all was I supposed to get? First thing he says is where is your list.... which is normally at home :-) but there was a few times I was like crap its at home, leave the store and find out it was in my pocket :-) hahaha !

Have you ever baked brownies in the oven in a plastic microwave pan?  I thought I was going to have to replace my entire stove.  It smelled like a chemical plant every time I turned on the oven...for months.  One of my faves is the day I washed three windows and a mirror with Spot Shot stain remover instead of Windex.  The bottles are so similar.  The greasy film Spot Shot left?  I just thought to myself...'You are really a pig, letting theses things get so filthy that the ammonia in Windex won't even cut through it..."

Or how about opening the wrong garage door then backing the car into the closed one.  The Husband was not at all amused with that one.

I even tried to put gas (at almost $4 a  gallon) into someone else's van.  I went into the store, prepaid the cashier and walked up to another gray vehicle, unscewed their cap and thankfully was informed I should pump the $80 into my own car.  I LOVE people who get gas, leave their car in front of the pump then go in the store to shop.  Thankfully he came out with his five bags of groceries and found me with the nozzle in my hand.

Gotta love the fog...it just keeps rolling along...

I sprayed an entire bottle of Clorox Stain-Out in my shower stall, instead of the Clorox Clean-Up I should have used.  I was wondering why nothing was happening.

 

Last night I was melting butter for a lemon butter sauce....with the metal spoon still in the container!  So glad I saw that before the microwave arced. 

 

Fibro fog can be dangerous as many of us have found out!

Rofl !!!!! Omg ! This is great! I am sooooo glad I am not the only one :-) my hubby to be just laughs there is nothing else we can do.... Didn't laugh as much the day his jeep was parked behind me and I got the car seat out of his jeep, buckled the baby in the car jumped in backed into his jeep then looked at the kids and say wth is behind me did someone pull in? And heard ummm no mom you forgot to move the jeep....

Or! ! The time I was talking to my sister on my cell phone, and walking through the house frustrated. And told her I can't find my phone anywhere and I need to get out the door! And she was laughing which of course irritated me, then she was like ummmm how do you think you are talking me :-)

Ok, I have one to add that happened last night. Hubby was getting ready for bed and gathered his clothes for work today. From upstairs I hear him call out to me, so I waddle upstairs. He's sitting on the bed with all of the jeans from his drawer out on the bed laughing hysterically. He patted the bed for me to sit down next to him and without saying a word, he plops a few pairs of jeans in my lap. YIKES!! They were damp! Apparently, I had washed them, then instead of putting them in the dryer, I must have folded them and put them away. Or perhaps I put them in the dryer and forgot to turn it on? Regardless, we had a great laugh! :) He's always the first to point out that he isn't laughing AT me, he's laughing WITH me.

Hahaha that's great Mommakiki ! I haven't done that YET but there is still time... I think this could be our longest going thread with all our moments! But I have to say it has Bennett great to laugh this much and partially cause it isn't just me :-)

Have you ever put hair dye on and forgot about for a few hours?...lucky my hair didn't fall out.

Found a box of kleenex in my refrigerator...makes perfect sense...cold...cold.

Or have you left the house to go to a doctors appointment and end up at the mall.

how about going grocery shopping and forgetting to take your groceries out of the car for over a few hours...my chicken was cooking in the trunk.

Just now... fibrofog moment. At the office searching high and low for my cell phone to realize it was in my pocket of my sweater.

Had another issue this AM. Put my lunch in a Walmart bag, put the bag on my desk... Came into my office, from the copy room looked at my desk and asked my secretary who brought me something from Walmart.

It's been a bad couple of days. lol

My worst Fibro Fog moment was when we went on vacation for a week. We came home (on a Friday evening, mind you) and realized that we had no water because SOMEBODY (guilty!) had forgotten to pay the water bill in advance before we left. Oops! We were without water all weekend. :-S Thank goodness my husband is a patient man... he laughs at all my "duh" moments. Hehe!

Lololol !!!!! I found my keys in the freezer one day! No idea how that worked out :-) Had to throw the mayo away cause I put it in the pantry for 3 days yum yum ! Not!

Yes it is a good thing the love of my life has a good sense of humor these days!

Oh yeah and because I use a IPad, when I get on the laptop I can't figure out why touch screen doesn't work! Kids and hubby to be laugh till they hurt some days :-)

Apparently I have decided to top every duh moment I have listed! ! Holy Moly, so I rush out the door to take my 15 yr old to martial art class and have to leave @ 5:50, get 5 miles away and he says why did we leave so early? I look at the clock it is 4:55 ! So I say OK let's go stop at the store, walking thru the store I stop in an isle and start scrolling thru my contacts, my son says what are you doing? So I stop and think, I was scrolling thru my contacts but I was actually supposed to be looking at my list of things I needed at the store guess my phone contacts was NOT going to help that!

He was like really mom? Is it OK for you to drive me ? Lololol wow !

You guys are hilarious.

I used to be sooooo sharp mentally. Now I put the car in reverse when I want to go forwards and do stuff like put things on the stove top to cook, go back downstairs and completely forget (I've ruined all of my pots and come way too close to burning the house down twice). I've become a public menace! lol

Lololol Meg! Not funny you have almost burned your house down, but just funny how many duh moments their are! I told my hubby to be I feel like an Alzheimer patient some days! I send kids to the shower then an hour later resend them and they will say already had one, and then I get all excited "you went without being told"! ? And then everyone is like ummmm you told us to get our shower and I truly don't remember it :-)

Hahaha as long as I know who I am and where I live I am good right?

Here's a really good one. Last weekend was my son's birthday party and I had just introduced my friend K and M to the people that had already arrived. The next person walks in, not 2 minutes later, and I forget my friend K's name and finally introduce her husband, M, and try to go back to her and she had to introduce herself. I had just said her name and I have known her for years, but I couldn't recall her name at all. I was actually surprised I was able to remember her husband's name since I barely see him.
I shouldn't be too surprised I tell people my wrong birthday, age, and give the wrong birthday for my son by accident more than I'd like to admit.
I'm always running into rooms and forgetting the reason why...luckily my son tends to remind me. It's nice to have people that actually understand.

I was in a store one day and they needed my phone number for something.  Do you think I could remember my own phone number???  blush    I tried for about a half a  minute, gave up, got out my checkbook and read it off my checks!  Talk about feeling dumb!

 

This was a one time occurance, thank goodness, or else I'd really start wondering what was going on.

When my fibro is in a flair which has been this entire week I get soooo many duh moments! This whole week I have had to tell my 18 yr old what I take and when so I can ask what meds I need and when! Very scary when I am not sure if I took meds or not :-)

My favorite is setting the coffee maker up pressing start. And going back when its finished to find only hot water, forgot to put the Beans in the grinder!
I have been in a bad flare for the last month and I forget simple words, or I say things that don't make any sence at all. When I drive I find myself looking at other things. Like I am on a tunnel or like I'm watching it on Tv. I nave to drive in silence so I don't hurt myself or others.

I think that my worst fibrofog moments happened several years ago when I was getting ready to take my daughter for a doctors appointment in another town about 100 miles from here. I was running late, as usual, and still needed to pick her up from school before leaving town. At the end of our driveway, I absent-mindedly turned the wrong way, and very nearly left town without picking her up!

I also sometimes try to make phone calls on our tv remote, and try to change channels with the phone.

Lololol... yesterday I set the coffee all up for morning and my hubby to be got up and turned it on for me, later in the day I found out I had it all set up and forgot to put water in it lololol... so when the coffee maker beeped it was done way to soon to be done he went to check knowing there was no telling what I had done :-)
