i,m in an awful flare right now.i knew i would be days ago my glands in my neck.

for now on i,ll make sure i have soup ready !at least my body is sending me signals.

So, are you saying your glands swell and then you go into a general flare? That's something I haven't heard of before...well, I hope you feel better tomorrow.

yes i have been noticing this has happened last couple times.then it happened again.
they swelled up and two days later, full flare up.
i was wondering if this happened to othrs?

I do that before a lupus flare. Have you been tested for lupus?

no but i have been thinking that i have lupus.have thought so for awhile.
i am going to ask pm for test on 13 th .jez i hope not! thanks for your input. i had a feeling.

I missed this and posted something similar! I'm going through a flare and my glands have been swollen for days, I've been tested for Lupus and it came back negative! I've noticed when I'm really fatigued my glands swell up and my neck is in agony! I got my glands checked just today and I was told it's nothing to worry about but I've to get blood tests for blood count and inflammation on Friday!

This is strange I am going into a flare as well and this time and last time my glands are swollen. I have tested negative for lupus as well but all this inflamation is not a normal fm flare.

Rose, that's like me, it's only this flare I've noticed my glands at the back of my neck and head especially, are swollen! I've never noticed it before but I have had swollen glands in the past! I've read something that someone posted about fibro saying he believes that a sluggish lymph system is to blame for fibro!? But then we are all still wondering what causes it, I've read so many suggestions on what causes it but research has recently shown that in brain scans of fibro patients show a poor blood supply to the middle and front cortex of the brain!
I've been petrified thinking it's something sinister but the docs don't seem bothered...

Thx Chill, I am going to schedule another Dr appointment as I am noticing far too much inflamation which is not Fibro, my wrists are both swollen like carpel tunnel again as well. I just ended my prescription for anti inflamatories for my hip problem.

Sometimes you get angry with the world, it's not right waking up every day with something bothering you. To have a life with no ailments and to feel no pain I would definitely choose over winning millions on the lottery any day...

Yes, all my upper nodes (throat, armpits and neck) swell and then i feel like a truck has hit me. My neck and my shoulders are murderous atm :(

That's similar to me Allicat! I've noticed a swollen gland under my armpit too and my neck and shoulders are in agony, I've two big swollen glands and the bottom of my head and down the back and sides of my neck, gives me headaches and earache and I'm so tired too:( must happen when you go through a flare up! hope you feel a bit better soon:)

Hugs, back at ya! And yes, my neck is rock hard with bumps down the back and side (the swollen nodes lol). Sadly i think mine is still the one flare up thats been going 3 weeks!

I had never really made the association (I've had swollen glands a lot over the years) but I think that mine are probably due to fibro flares. I had always just attributed it to sinus problems. I noticed swelling at the back and sides of my neck a few days ago, now today, I have had a bad headache and have been fatigued.  I have just gotten out of bed, and the day is almost over.  I usually do have a flare at this thime of the year.

well i spoke with my dr about the glands and was told to go to primary dr.
i really don,t even want to.i was exausted today and tonight my glands are swollen.
my flairs are coming more frequnt but i have ben trying to stay active.
i made a pot of soup just in case.when in a flare the hardest thing is to prepare meals for your self.

i know fibro is supposed to level off ,when does this happen?i just keep getting worse.
i have now gone 4 days with 6 hours of sleep.i feel like a walking time bomb!

Ah yep, expecting the next few days to be hell, as today ive woken up with a sore throat and swollen tonsils, and swollen throat glands, plus lymph nodes, this is the third time in 5 weeks!!

I have a few good days, even after after not getting a lot of sleep but i feel energised, so have probably pushed myself over my limit without realising, and now i wake up sick :(

my glands become very tender too, followed by spiratic fibro flares, front of neck, chest, arm pits, behind ears. Cant say that it always supercedes flares, but definitely seems connected.
