Well, maybe a little, but not much. I was in bad shape until I had the surgery.
Incidentally, I would agree with Deepwell about chiropractic - I went that route for over 20 years. The adjustments would make me feel better for a few days, or until the next dip in the road (literally) - and then I was right back to being tight and in pain. Now I'm doing PT and am stronger in many ways than I've been since my 30s! (I'm 57.)
My therapist says they are always amazed at the people who think nothing of dropping $50 at the chiropractor, but will balk at paying the same amount to a therapist, who actually addresses the problem, actually helps them help themselves.
Of course, there are times when chiros are good, but I'm going to steer clear unless there's a darn good reason to go again.
