Welcome frequent flyer! Wow, you are one busy women. I know it takes almost 2 jobs to meet people's needs these days. If your able to cut back some hrs. It would probably help. Stress can really play a big role in fibro pain and fatigue. You might want to read your handbook on short term and long term policy. A lot of companies offer them, but it doesn't mean you will be granted them. Even if you are paying extra for them. The short term is easier to get then long term. Some only give you a certain percentage of pay with them. This is why you really need to read the fines lines. If you think you have good report with your boss and the company, they will probably make it easier on you.
I am not sure how big your work force is? If you have certain amount of employees they have a thing called FMLA. This is where you can take off, be late for work and leave for Dr. Appointments without loosing your job. It gives you 12 wks for your job to be safe. A Dr. Has to fill out the paper work and then you return it to your human resource office. Most jobs dont tell you about
this. It was a law put in place by President Clinton. There was some gaps holes left in it, so each company has a few different rules. I had one filled out each year, it save my job for several years. You really might want to look into it, if you have frequent sick calls. You can also use this if one of your family members gets sick and you need to attend to them.
I would think if you could figure how to slow down some, your working experience will be so much better. Sometimes looking at your budget and seeing what really don't need in life does help your fibro. Less stuff, less hrs. to work and less pain. Your lucky because hopefully you can figure this out early in age. It only took 20 years for me to suffer chronic pain from working like a dog to get it!
