"What you see is evidence of what you believe. Believe it and you will see it."
The way we think does influence the way we feel. I try to see the glass as half full rather than half empty. Positive thinking did not come natural for me...it is still something I work on daily. I just know that I feel better as a result of thinking positive. Our thoughts precede our actions...if we dwell on the negative, we only focus on our weaknesses and never our strengths.
We all have purpose...chronic pain should not be allowed to get in the way...it only does if we believe we are defeated. Positive thinking makes me proactive about my life...and that helps me deal with the
pain....we are not doomed....we have a choice.
Positve attitude does not just happen...you have to practice it everyday...as soon as a negative thought comes to mind you need to replace it with something positive. Each day, I spend time reading something that inspires me...it gives me strength and hope.
My perspective on life has changed greatly...I live with joy and purpose.
I know that there are many that deal with depression...my heart goes out to you. If you are having a hard time coping, I hope you will seek help. I've experianced situational depression but not clinical. My hopes are for everyone to be able to experiance an improved quality of life.
Take Care, my friends
Hugs, Robin
