So much fun!!

I was finishing up teaching a class about an hour ago, and was standing near the chalkboard . I felt woozy for a second, and grabbed a desk. One of my students, who is a bit of a drama-king and likes to divert attention from any topic as much as he possibly can shouted out 'Are you okay? You look like you are going to faint!" I said "I'm okay guys, just ready for a nappie, so what do you say we finish up these and we can get out of here a little early today" This diverted their attention back to the work and we wrapped it up.

I hate it when I do something that people notice, and then comment on.

Well...I have:

Gone to a baby shower wearing a sweater with the price tag hanging from my armpit.

Dragged a pair of underpants that got caught in the bottom of my pant leg through a casino.

Gimped through a mall wearing two different shoes

Tried to put gas in someone elses car...(went in to prepay, came out and walked over to a similar vehicle)

Just recently told a woman in the check out line she had a spider on her cheek and it was a mole...

Embarrassing moments.  I'm glad the fainting sensation passed.  Been there, done that...

I , too, went out with my travel group for a special evening wearing a new sweater with the tag hanging from the armpit! I was especially embarrassed when the travel agent pointed it out to everyone. I haven't lived that one down, yet.

It must be a fibromite thing. turn

I have needed help to find my car in a walmart parking lot....3 times. One time I had to call a friend to come and get me so I could drive around the lot to find it. My mind was a complete blank, I didn't have the slightest clue as to where I had parked.

I used to get so tired (before I had my fibro under control) and I would need a nap during the day. I can't tell you how many times I crawled out from under my desk after my nap (looking all a mess) and have someone important standing there. One time is was the owner of the company.

And my favorite, one time when I was showing potential customers our facilities, I actually got lost in the warehouse (and its not that big).

Most of my embarrassing moments are because of brain fog.

We were just at a lady function this week and we had to list our embarrassing moments. Mine was : I went to take the church garbage out to the big dumpster outside. It had a lock on it. I had the key in my hand to the church and the dumpster. Next thing I knew I threw the garbage in with the keys. I am very short, so got a chair and climb into the stinky dumpster. The worse thing the dumpster is located my a busy road. I was deep inside and got the keys, but I had so much trouble pulling myself out. It was very stinky! I had to climb on old garbage to get myslef out. I could just imagine what people were thinking as they drove by. Probably sayinng wow she must be so hungry! I had to take a shower right after!

My most embarrassing times are when I can't remember names. Especially when I need to make an introduction. I've also had people call me and they tell me their first name, but the word and their voice just don't register with my brain. I especially hate these times because I think it makes people think they're not important to me but they ARE!

I shake badly with my fibro. It is so common that I barely notice I am shaking. What is embarrassing is when I have to go and sign something and it looks like kids scribbles and the person looks at me like I am in dt's or something. I hate it, but have to just not worry about it. I can not control it.

Lololol... such funny stuff! I recently went to the post office to mail a package, paid for it got everything done, then tried to leave with my package and was looking at mail clerk like he had two heads when he wanted the package :-)

Searching all over for my phone tearing the house apart, didn't dawn on me the reason I was doing it with one hand was because my phone was in the other :-)

Went for tux fitting with ring bearer and didn't know my own wedding date, and was very stumped when he needed me to spell grooms name!

Lololol... I have these moments on a regular basis! I am always using the wrong word for things :-)

I can generally cover for my Fibro Fog moments, and am pretty good at speaking, so that I take my time, think before I speak, and try to control the flow of the conversation. The fog is frustrating but I can work with it.

It is when my body betrays me that I get embarassed. I had been standing for a few hours, moving around. I was trying to conduct class. I was wearing heavier clothes than I ought to have worn, and so was sweating. I needed some water. AND, this one student loves to try to change the subject. Notice, I am less convinced that he was concerned for me than he just wanted to divert the subject.

@Painstop I am unaware of shaking as a Fibro symptom, unless it is a side effect of a medication. Check to make sure you don't have Parkinson's Disease.
