Luna- welcome aboard! I wanted to share some of the things I do to help my fibro. I use to have severe depression to the point that I didn't want to even get out of bed. Medication didn't seem to stop it. I started some theapy work that help me get through. I was able to talk about
being so frustratd with so many symptoms each day. I got a great book on depression that really helped me. I look for support and classes on anxiety. I am also spiritual, so I was able to use script
urs and prayers. I no longer suffer depresssion, it feels so good to have that heavy burden gone.
I think vitamin supplements work very well. They have made big diffeence in my pain and spasms. I use subutex for pain control. It's being used more now, but it's not for everyone. I tend to have a dependency issue with heavy narcotics.
I think the diet can be helpful. I just now starting some changes and it has helped some. I been having these spells after I would eat. Then an hour later I would be ok. I found out through reading that fibro patients have reactive hypoglycemic. I knew what was happening now. I started to make some changes with carbs and sugars. It made a big difference. What is frustrating that I had to learn this on my own. My Dr's have never told me half of this info I have learned on this forum. I am so grateful for this forum.
I have fibro fog real bad at times. I just use lots of sticky notes and try to keep my mind active. I do games on my I pad and try to read short articles. I try not to worry as much about
it anymore.
I hope you can find a treatment plan that works for you. It's a trial and error thing. I have finally got mine under controlled. I think if you can get the pain under control other things get so much better. At least this is what I think. I Hope I could help some.
