I'm new here. I've been reading through many posts. A lot of you talk about itching. Opioids commonly cause intense itching. I had it when I tried oxycondone and methadone as well. These meds can also cause intense sweating. One more bad thing is if you already suffer from serotonin based depression, long term opioids can also make that much worse. I do still use meth when I have to. It works well for nerve related pain. But I suffer from depression along with the fm. Most of us do. Gosh, we live in constant pain of some sort. The fatigue, unrelenting exhaustion would depress even the
Perkiest of 'normals'. Just to help those with sweating or itching problems. Those meds just could be adding to it. For me, I say God Bless the small handful of doctors that are not afraid of 'the man' and will RX for strong meds. You don't have to be dying to be in moderate to severe pain. And we should be able to cook, do our jobs or go out for a nice evening and not have to say ,no, because I'll end up in a flare if I go out and try to enjoy myself. I know my husband is getting tired of my wanting to just stay in, on the couch, remote control in hand. Valery
