Hubby came home from work yesterday telling me that a co-worker's wife was in the hospital. She has fibro and attempted to end her pain for good.

I know that we aren't allowed to discuss self harm on the forum, but I wanted to urge anyone who has these feelings of desperation to seek help. And they say fibro isn't life threatening.

I must say, and excuse me for this... that the thought of ending my life has crossed my mind on two Occasions while I was experiencing flare ups. I will not do anything because I have two kids, but sadly I could understand why someone would think that way!

Agree that Fibro is very life-threatening in that way but alas, no one understands but we who have it.

I think it is great that you are urging people to seek help. I've battled with depression in the past, and learned about God, accepted Him in my life. It changed my view on life.

Perhaps you can ask your husband to ask his co-worker if there is anything you two can do. Bring meals, send a get well card, become friends, doing things with his wife, so on.
