Anybody else get hit by this 'flu train?

So, you won't get anyone else sick, and you don't have to do kid-duty? Win-win! -wink-

Except for the being sick thingie. That's not so good.

I got my shot in October, but usually pick something up later in the winter when I get more run down. So far, it's been the 24 hour wonder.

Thanks. We tought at first that it was just a bug. The the soreness and fever hit this morning.

Golly, I'm so sorry. I've had the flu before and it isn't fun. I get my flu shot now and so far, so good.

From what I've heard is if you have vomiting and diarrhea but no high fever, you have the norovirus that is going around also. But if you have the high fever, which you do, it's the flu. Be sure to drink a lot of water and feel better soon.

I haven't had the bad flu for years either, but I remember the time my whole family got hit at once, on Christmas. All except our youngest, who'd already had it. She was about 2, and she kept walking from one bedroom to another, where we were all sprawled out on the beds and couldn't stay awake. I don't know how many times I tried to get up and get her supper, but I just kept falling back asleep!

I'm glad you got your kids out of the house. You won't have to worry about them! Feel better soon ~ sending healing vibes through the virtual air....

Oh yea ! And it SUCKED !!! Only symptom I didn't get was nausea...

But I had a fever, ripping migraine headache, and lungs on fire for 2-3 days !

That was almost two weeks ago. I'm a lot better now, but the whole thing left me with a PITA case of bronchitis :( Bad thing about this, is that the last time I got bronchitis, it took like 6-8 weeks to get rid of it :(

Yeah, I vomited for about 3 days straight. Ran a fever than bounced between 101 - 103 and hurt all over... Oh, that last part could have been fibro! The headache is still here and the fever isn't quite gone which means the chills have me buried in a fort of blankets, pillows, heating pads, and kitties.
Still, I'm very happy to be finished vomiting. Thank you, Sherrine, I think it is a pulled muscle in my chest and in my diaphragm. I think a couple more days of rest and I may feel more human. Thank you for all the well wishes. I hope you get better soon, Stinky.

Were you confirmed with the flu or did you have that norovirus that is also out there?
I hear it's worse than the flu.

Joy, you don't get a high fever with the norovirus. I've had that too. Got it on a cruise ship. It's bad but the flu is worse.

I don't know bout the other virus but I was verified as having the flu. It tore me up. I stayed in bed all day Monday and Tuesday. I'm just now starting to be able to hold some foods down sometimes. The fever is horrible. Leaves me feeling exhausted and have chills no matter what. I think Mojo is enjoy the heat hut he has burrowed through my blankets.
I got up only once today and that was because my "aunt flo" decided to come meet the flu. They get along too well for my health.
My other kitty has been loving her "daddy" time. She is all about my husband. She will wander in here when he's at work but as soon as he's home she is all over him.
I think the worst part is I feel really bad that I've made mother in law keep my kids for a week. I just did not want them getting this flu. They both got the shot but at first I wasn't sure I had the flu. Now just getting up to the bathroom takes my energy. Yet I still feel like I should be super mom. Ok, it's NyQuil time. I'll try and check in when I'm awake.
