That's so wrong, that you can't just be open about your conditions and be taken seriously! ;(

I remember having to get up in an ER doctor's face when he suggested my daughter's extreme abdominal pains were from drinking - "Oh, these kids..." She got her gallbladder out 2 days later. No more pains. But he would have just clucked his tongue and sent her home with no tests at all...

I hope you're taking it really easy and continuing to feel better?

Jasmine Grace, So sorry you're going through all of this. I hope you get your diagnosis soon and start to feel better.

I can sympathize with all you've gone through in your hospital stays. I was in last May and also in April of 2011. It really adds to the pain of the FM. All the painful tests and just lying on the hard mattresses.

hello Jasmine, I am so sorry that you have had so much pain and discomfort. However, I am so thankfully you dont have anything that sounds like a serious terminal disease. I have so very much pain too, then I read a thread about serious cancer and I count my blessings. I will be happy to pray for your recovery.

Thanks, neuropathy. I'm sorry that you're in pain too. Yes, I've been reading the posts about leukaemia; it really puts things in perspective, doesn't it?

I was saying to my sister before today's doctor's appointment, when I got my blood test results back: "I hope it's fibromyalgia. Give me that over multiple sclerosis or lupus or some other horrible autoimmune condition any day."

I just came back from the doctor's. He said that I don't have an autoimmune condition or anything life threatening. Yay!

I'm still waiting to have the endoscopy and colonoscopy though. At least a digestive disorder can be managed by diet :)

So I'm feeling pretty happy right now.

I hope you'll start an introductory thread about yourself, so we can get to know you. That way more people would know you're new, too...sometimes new people get lost in the shuffle, otherwise.
