just found this site, and will be so glad of the support,Because i knew deep down something was wrong ,i am in the process of being diagnoised. I found a new dr , as i have had very bad depression & anxiety,
He sent me for a catskin and i have arthritis in my spine , Burning legs , Peripheral Neuropathy,IBS , spondylosis & Degenerative Disc disease,Haemochromatois (carrier). VitaminD deficiency This is what he has found so far.
I also have extreme fatigue and downsized the house before i knew all this , because of the tiredness.
Last week i had a pain in my Breast a sharp pulling pain.? I forgot my memory is shocking i cant concentrate, i dont read any more or knir ,i done more ripping out latly than knitting. Heart murmur, mood swings ( my Poor Hubby)

I wont know any more untill i see my DR on the 10th of JUly

what do you think , Have i FB ??

It is hard to say Maggie,

Check out the first thread on the forum called "fibro 101". It has a list of symptoms (many) and you might even see yourself there.

I hope that you feel better soon. Welcome to the forum!!! Keep posting and let us know how things are going. I hope you get a diagnosis soon.

Welcome to the forum!

Well, you do have some conditions that tend to be comorbid with fibromyalgia, so it's possible. As Karen said, compare your symptoms to the list of symptoms in Fibro 101.

Hi, Maggie, and welcome! You do have several symptoms of fibro but we share symptoms with other problems so it sounds like your doctor is ruling the other things out right now

If you read Fibro 101, you will find links that might help you figure this out. Good starting links ate called Symptoms, What Else Could It Be, and A Thorough Explanation of Fibromyalgia.

I know the waiting is so difficult but it sounds like your doctors are doing the right things to get a correct diagnosis. I hope you have been put on vitamin D3 because a deficiency in this can cause pain and fatigue.

Hi, Maggie. Good to meet you.

It's so hard, dealing with all these things that don't seem to go together....none of which is pleasant, to say the least! I was about convinced that what I'd been told was true (that it was all in my head) when I finally got a diagnosis. I said, "Fibro--what??" This was around 1993.

Hang on! We are all about support, so I hope you'll come here often.

Just been to the vasular specialist, I got the all clear regarding my legs burning , i was told by a dr that it was Diabetic Neuropathy, this specialist today thinks it is coming from my back.!

Welcome, I'm from Adelaide. There're not many FMS believer health profession in Australia. Just a handful. Best is ask and you shall receive. There are also some research papers you can give it to you supportive GP and he/she may read it and help you.

I can scan them and upload it for everyone to download if you are interested.

If you're in the north shore, there are a few doctors I can recommend. I used to live in Sydney for a while.

Pls bear in mind it's been about 6-8 years since I was in Mosman.

Dr Janet Kitcherner-Smith is a Good GP, she's in Mosman. Just google for her.

Dr Philip Lim is a musculoskeletal specialist, he's in St Leonards.

After reading the article, I started making some background check making sure these people are not making up the story... as you know not everything on the internet is true. After some digging, I found some sources the article were cited from. I've made them into pdf, if you're interested to read them...
