I just went with the family to pick blueberries. I'm so happy because I couldn't do it last year. We went later in the day than I wanted to (side effect of having teenagers that don't see mornings if possible) so it was hotter than I'd have liked. I got nauseous from the sun so I couldn't stay out as long as I would've liked. But we went and I have a bunch of blueberries to freeze!
So glad to get back to activities I wasn't sure I'd ever visit again.

Send some to me. Mmmm. Fresh berries.
Fibro isn't a reason to stop doing things-it's just a condition to be figured into the whole. Good for you!

That is good news, Joy! I would love to do something like that.
I'm happy for you!

Our blueberries weren't good this year due to no rain. But I think the blackberries will be. Happy picking. So happy for you!!!

This is great! You got some good exercise too....stretching to reach that really large blueberry that was calling your name.
I used to go berry picking but I ate half of what I picked! They are just too good when warm from the sun.

I used to pick strawberries. I don't think I could manage it anymore. I have taken the kids out to my grandfathers strawberry patch. I had to tell them that there be poisons on them or we would have come home with none. Lol
I'm glad you can do it! It's nice to be outside and do some picking.

Yes, eating the berries is the big temptation. I handed out gum to everyone prior to getting our buckets. That slowed us down so we actually brought home some berries. :)

Excellent - I love blueberries am so jealous of you! I make a mean blueberry kuchen but, I don't live where I can go pick them. I hope you can go next year too.
If there is anything good that comes out of this illness, it is when you have a victory like this. It is like winning the lottery! I would like to make a camping trip this summer even if just overnight. If I make it I will relish it!
Congrats!

Good for you..I love when I can do things that I enjoyed doing in the past. Plus the added health benefit you get from eating them.
