Welcome bobcat to the forum! I just wanted to say Hi, I have been camping all weekend so I didn't get to greet you earlier. Sounds like you found some great connections already. I think you will like this forum. It has given me hope again and I don't feel alone with this chronic health problems that come from fibro.
I can totally understand how you described your ligaments feeling like rubber bands. I have this trouble and that is how I describe them too. I find out heat works the best with vitamin magnesium too. I don't take muscle relaxers, but I know others do well on them.
Reading post frequent here will benefit you on managing your fibro. I have learned so much here. I finally perfected a treatment plan that works for me. We all are different in response to our treatment. So some meds and treatments might work for me, but not you. It's a trial and error method. Try not to get discorage when trying new things. Just keep plugging away and you will see some positive changes.
I found out for me a well rounded treatment plan works very well for me. What I mean by well rounded is I use mental health therapy with it. I do the following. I see a therapist, psych. Dr., heat, rest, light excercise , eat healthy, vitamins D, calcium, magnesium, limit stress and subutex for pain from pain management.
I hope to see you around. Please feel free to ask questions or if you just need to vent the day away.
