NEED YOUR HELP
I am looking for a doctor in the Raleigh or Greenville NC are, that will support a disability claim. would like to find a doctor to take over my case as soon as possible as I am due to return to work 9/8 I am currently working fulltime and have been out of work on short term disability since June and scheduled to go back to work in early September.
My primary care doctor took me out of work in June to come off of Cymbalta. That was 8 weeks of HELL. Topomax was a lifesaver. I found a great pain management doctor. However, she is not supportive of disability. I advised my primary at my 4 week visit I had to get my life back. I could not wait any longer or I would loose it all. I was near nervous breakdown when she took me out. She doesn't have a clue. All she cares about is the drug rep bringing lunch.
My primary doctor has advised she is not a disability doctor and can't support a disability claim. (I didn't ask her to) (I mentioned I didn't have a life and feared I was going to have a nervous breakdown if I continued to work with constant chronic pain, sleeping all weekend, no outside activities, (not even family) this is when she advised, she was not a disability doctor).
I have had fibromyalgia for over 10 years. I do not have a Fibromyalgia doctor and have been treated by primary care doctor. She has advised she does not have time to support a disability claim (paperwork).
I had a total Hystercomy in 2010 and have battled Fibromyalgia for over 10 years. After the Hyst. I had severe pelvic pain and could not use the bathroom (#2) and this just created a bad cycle of stool softners, laxatives, constipations, etc. I kept going to to my gyno for over 9 months " WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME" he says, "IT IS YOUR FIBROMYALGIA" Like, I claim it, Like it is my child!
I have been through hell the past two years, sleeping/resting all weekend just be able to go to work all week to bring home a paycheck to assist my husband. My body finally had all it could take and in May I began to call into work frequently. I was only supposed to be out 6 weeks and told her I was out of breath walking 20 feet and my heart was pounding. She said she didn't want me to start to get deconditioned and extended another 6 weeks. She had no idea I was already deconditioned. Being in a pool for an hour floating on a noodle/float exhaust me. She has told me she does not have time for me; children and old people come before me (fibromyalgia paitient). I can't walk more than 20 feet without chronic pelvic pain.
The latest thing, my short term disability was denied because she put refered on my paperwork refered to pain management as to why I was out. She did not refer me to that dr. and would not have known it if I had not told her. I went to that dr before she took me out of work. If it were not for that dr & topomax I would not even be on this PC. They got my records from pain dr and it was denied because no mention of me out of work, well that dr did not take me out work.
