Hi, Nomorefibro. Welcome! Glad you found us, though sorry for the reason. Yes, I've had a lot of pain in my buttocks over the years, too. Not fun. And cold? UGH. Yesterday it got down to about
68 degrees and my plastic eyeglass chain felt cold on my neck! I'll be in turtlenecks next by week at this rate :(
I take Gabapentin and Hydrocodone for nerve pain and Nortriptyline and Klonopin for better sleep (which also helps with pain levels.) As Austen said, what helps us varies a lot from person to person. Some can go the all-or-almost-all-natural route, others need more help.
Walking is good, or movement in water, or yoga - something that doesn't cause more pain....gentle exercise is what we need; we really have to scale back our expectations of what we can do, which to me is the very hardest part of Fibro.
But we do have to keep "doing." We can't stay in any one position or use any one group of muscles too long, or we'll end up paying later in pain and fatigue....I'm sure you know all about
that.
It's very important to have a good relationship with your doctor who, of course, believes in Fibromyalgia....some still don't, even today, so don't waste your time with one who doesn't.
Hope to see you around more. We're here to help eachother.
Debbie
