Skin pain, period, vent

Every time I have my period it's worst. I'm laying in my bed unable to sleep because my face on the left side is sooo sensitive and painful. I can't blink with my left eye without feeling it. The pillow hurts my skin. Hair brushing my temple and cheek. Hurts too!
Like a pain burning lightest touch hurts my skin. I know it's fibro I know it will go away but I just needed to vent to people who get it :(

I'm sorry. I will send healing energy. My husband loves to back of my neck where it meets my back. That is where I have the worst pain. I don't want to tell him to stop because I am afraid it will make him scared to touch me at all. So I just pretend it doesn't hurt. When he catches himself doing it, he will stop and say oh gosh sorry. I will say it is ok you can do that, it didn't hurt.

Sorry your having a fibro flare. It's been a long time since I had a sleepless night. I do understand the sensitivity of the skin. On days like that you can see why the commericals on lyrica describe fibro as over active nerves. Hope your days goes better.

The sore/sensitive skin is horrible. I tend to get it on my lower back when I'm over tired.
Sometimes I haven't noticed how tired or rundown I'm getting... Then something brushes my lower back and I nearly go through the roof.
It's worse than the worst sunburn I've ever had. (Similar feeling though.)

I wish I could suggest something that helps, but I haven't found much that does.

The skin burning pain was one of my first symptoms. I thought I was being slowly lit on fire. Awful!!! I do find b12 helps some with it. And sometimes soaking in an epsom salt bath. Why is it laying down is the absolute worst? The one time your supposed to be sleeping turns into the worst position to be in! So sorry
