I stood up out of my chair a few minutes ago and I could barely move!
My hips and my butt muscles feel like I have been sitting on a wooden bench for a whole day. Which I have not.
So I guess tonight I can truely say fibro is a big pain in the butt.

Ooooo, good one, Joy! :)
Been there; done that. It sometimes feels like 50 pounds of lead you-know-where when I stand up.
Ahhh...the "thrill" of fibro! :) Hope tomorrow it's "behind" you (pun intended).

Yes! I get this as well. It's always fun when it happens in the store. Gotta love butt cramps. I take baclofen for this, my doc gave it to me years ago when I "had" MS for a short while. LOL.. gotta love docs too..

OMG. I feel your stiffness.
When I was first diagnosed, I had to take a research trip to NYPL. I was skinny, too, a little underweight. NYPL has hard hard hard wooden chairs in their main reading room. At the end of the week, I could barely move. I brought coats, sweaters, anything I had brought with me to sit on. I even tried alternately standing and sitting.
OW!

Cute...
I know that feeling though, after sitting at the computer too long. My butt gets numb...
Hugs, Karen...

The reason I had my pain in the butt was because a storm was rolling in for the day here.
It wants to bite other places today along with itching attacks. Didn't someone mentioned here that itching attacks was another form of pain signals?

couchtater,
You described something very similar to what i am going through at the moment. I had my usual flare-up thing with aching all over, fatigue, memory issues, you know.
It was somehow different that time because of pronounced left groin pain which was dx bursitis.
This morning it hurt less but i was very stiff all over, similar feeling to yours and then my all body began itching which i experience very often. Itching could be a form of pain but it is a fibro thing for sure.
hugs

I read somewhere itching can be related to nerve irritation. Sorry--can't remember where I read that, but maybe do a search on it? I often get itching on the bottom of one of my feet--the one that causes more trouble!
