Many of you know that I've been using relaxation techniques for quite awhile now. Deep breathing, meditation and using mental imagery have helped me relax. Less stress = less pain. Lately, my limbs feel like blocks of cement and I have more fatigue...looking to step up my relaxation techniques.
Hypnosis is a form of deep relaxation where you go into a trance and the mind is receptive to positive thoughts and suggestions. Being in a hypnotic state for 15 minutes is supposed to provide as much relaxation as 8 hours of sleep. I don't know how this works for fibromites, but I'm going on youtube to research self- hypnosis and watch some tapes.
My fatigue level has been peaking lately and it would be great to feel as though I had recieved some extra sleep. I'm still keeping up with my supplements and exercise...just think some stress has caught up with me and has me in it's grips.
Has anyone tried self hypnosis ?
