I've had plantar fasciitis several times. One time, it took a steroid shot to help it, but the very most helpful thing is good orthotics. You need to raise your arch so that it doesn't go down and pull so hard on your tendon with every step you take.
I've had many custom made orthotics, that usually always helped, but were very expensive. The last time I needed some, I bought the "Walk Fit" orthotic, and it worked well. I bought it at Target.
Slow stretches of the achilles tendon help alot, but I think you need to get past this pain first. Can you see a podiatrist? Or maybe you could go to "The Good Feet Store" if you have one around you.
There were days when I didn't think I could make it to work, it was so painful.......so I sympathize with you.
Icing it might help a bit too. Good luck!
