I'm not on fibro meds (couldn't tolerate them), but I have gained weight from inactivity due to two back surgeries and their resulting pain/mobility limitations and probably the fibro itself.
I've come to accept my body image for the most part, but it took some time. One thing I do to help is always do my hair and makeup before I go out. It might sound silly, but I feel so much better if I have my "face" on.
I have to wear elastic waist pants (too many previous abdominal surgeries), but I try to buy cute tops to go with them. I can't wear jewelry (skin too sensitive), so I like to buy tops with sparkly details. It's amazing how much those little things can help you feel good about
yourself.
And, I've learned to try to be kind to myself. I should at least be as kind to myself as I am to other people. I've also learned that a kind, positive attitude can make you waaayyy more attractive to the people around you.
Like the rest of you, I also try to surround myself with kind, supportive people. I don't need to be around people who bring me down.
