This is wonderful news, Kathy! I have been on a 15 hour flight and was just fine so you should do well, too. Be sure to print out the gentle stretching exercises in Fibro 101. These were developed for long flights and they also help prevent deep vein thrombosis. So have your hubby do these too. Also, get up and walk around frequently.
Some people bring neck pillows on the flights so that's an idea.
BUT the one thing that has helped me with any type of travel...plane, car, bus....is my Back Booster pillow. It's an inflatable lumbar support pillow that, when flattened, fits easily in your purse. It comes with a carrying case. It takes me four good breaths to blow it up and you can adjust how soft or firm it can be. If you google it, you will see pictures of it. I absolutely love this and it could be used like a head/neck pillow too, I imagine. I have never used it for my neck but it sure makes my back feel better when traveling. I have a disease of my spine that can make me miserable....especially when traveling...but the Back Booster has saved me from that. You can order it on line.
So get planning and have a spectacular time!
