Hello everyone, I was wondering is and gets burning skin, rib pain which I hate lol. Also muscle spasms from head to toe hip pain buttock, scalp pain . What were things ruled that were ruled out before the fibromyalgia diagnosis?

Hi there MissF, I share some of those same issues.

My doctor did a lot of bloodwork but it looks like you are asking about more physical conditions. One of the things my dr did was have a full set of spinal xrays taken. I have butt/hip pain and sciatica as well as severe pain in my neck and shoulders. The x-rays ruled out spinal column injuries/malformities.

As far as bloodwork hopefully others will chime in. We ruled out Lyme, thyroid disorders, Sjogrens syndrome, lupus...and I know she did other tests but I can't think of them right now.

Mizz- fibro as you know has so many similar symptoms as so many other diagnoses. I know I had hashimoto's which causes neck pain and low thyroid. MS and lupus was checked. X-rays or MRI's done of spinal. Hip pain came from bursitis common in fibromites. Rib pain and burning are all fibro probably. Your probably like me trying to wrap your head around all these crazy symptoms. I use to chase more medical diagnoses myself until I finally accepted it was fibro.

It's so cruel to have a disease like this. I don't think that it's taken more seriously, the ways it effects people. ♧

Mizz, you are so right. I don't believe it's taken so seriously. I was in bad shape with pain yesterday. I just wanted to have a pity party.
