Great to hear from u . Glad u enjoyed the poem. Hoping more would add a praise or two to start a new one collectively. Keeps the mind free to engage in happier things. U are one of many who inspired that poem. I'll always remember u by the story u shared..
It's nice to have a sense of humor. Laughter is great for many of us who are stuck in illness .

I've had the nickname Wombat for nearly 40 years. It "stuck" and frankly I answer to it more than my real name. I never use my real name online so all my online ID's are some derivative of wombat ie common wombat, the wombat.

mine is Wackers my nickname from school

My name is Jacquie and so they called me wacky jacquie, then it became wackers jackers and i was 34 when i signed up

Nice to hear UR story it's food for thought. In my case it reminds me of a experience in my younger days I'll never forget. One story leads to another the power of words, memory and association by distraction just from wombat....

The name for UR ID has many visions & reminders from earlier days when I was re-roofing the barn. A large bump under the sheet metal roofing material would not allow me to hammer the nail down to the slats. I lifted up the sheet metal to see why. To my surprise a huge bat flew out. I almost fell off the roof. My screams from fear & almost falling, blood curdling for sure..l alarmed the neighbors who did not know where the screams came from.. ( live out in country) the echo goes forever...anyway they called 911 . Funny how one word ( bat), leads to association in a locked-in memory from long ago to a completely different topic the furry animal wombat. Not even close. To what popped out from under the roof. YIKES !

I know the bat association is not a wombat not even close.I know a wombat is a marsupial cute fluffy animal native of Australia. They were shown recently on a talk show. They are so sweet!

I'm glad to hear from u. Have a great day....stay strong! Staying off roofs these days .

If you want to name a puppy Namian go right ahead. turn I'd be honored. Thank you for including me in the poem. What a lovely work of art! I love this group but don't get to post as often as I'd like because I am so busy with life!

I should be honest...my oldest just turned 20 so I no longer have three teens. smilewinkgrin I do have fantastic kids and I'm really lucky. I really enjoy spending time with them.

I chose my name because I'm Monica Hope...so I started using Hopegirl as a internet on-line name and it seemed so thruful that I hope I get better.
